"Maskarich said the stretch limo is considered a "charter party vehicle" and was listed with the PUC to carry eight or fewer passengers.And check the license as if that matters. I bet they make new regulations after this. What I want to know is how couldn't those people get out in 90 seconds? A survivor says the driver wouldn't stop and he didn't help anybody escape.
"There were nine," Maskarich said. Officials did not comment on whether the overcrowding played any role in the tragedy.

Five women die in a bizarre limo fire and all the government cares about is that the limo carried one more person than regulations allowed.
