Heat Nightclub goes to court to save itself from the government. Clearly the case is rigged against it. Court grants preliminary injunction, continuing the shutdown.
"During testimony, club owner and manager Jessica Kennedy admitted to selling liquor by the bottle and giving away alcohol for free — both violations of her permit — Tuesday during the preliminary hearing."
I don't know about selling liquor by the bottle, but I'm sure every bar gives away some drinks. This is one of those selective applications of the law against people the state doesn't like.

This is a dumb reason to have the Fourth of July fireworks in June.
"“It sounds funny because it’s in June, but it’s our way of boosting support for the CityFolk festival,” said Joe Parlette, the city’s interim director of recreation and youth services."
This is another crony government decision.

Beavercreek schools, which has lost several levy votes in a row, pulls new levy from August ballot ostensibly to put it on the November ballot. Maybe they'll put it on the November ballot since no big offices are up for vote that election. The real reason they're pulling it is they expect to lose again.

More political shake-up, another official fired, in Miami Township.
