Economy

Because Venezuela's government centrally plans the economy, the country is running out of toilet paper.

USA Today blames US consumers for the deaths in the building collapse in Bangladesh. I guess producers could move production to the US and put all those Asian textile workers out of a job, increasing their poverty and misery. Nobody forced them to take a job in sweat shops. The sweat shops are a better than the alternative for them.
"In fact, a consortium of Bangladesh factory owners is also a lobbying group that consults with the government on working conditions and safety matters. Government oversight is notoriously weak."
Regulations that increase the cost of production will cause companies to move production, increasing poverty and worsening conditions where the factories close.
