Local

Bomb squad blows up another innocuous package. Our rulers are laughing at us so hard.

Now they're scaring us by saying spending cuts will leave Cincinnati to be overrun by rats.
"Budget cuts will mean, among other things, a reduction in resources for pest control."
Here we go again. Instead of cutting bureaucrats or welfare, corporate and otherwise, they're cutting pest control and lead paint workers because that will pressure people to submit to higher taxes. The city should sell of the property that needs pest control. The new owners will do a better job for less money.

I have two headlines in my local feeds purporting to offer 911 recordings of recent events. This is a gross violation of the right to a fair trial. Report 1. Report 2.

Government generously offers insurance for its water lines on private property. I like how the put it:
"Homeowners asked to consider water line insurance"
Asked to consider. More like coerced. If government's water line explodes on your property, it's your expense. Dig a well. A deep well.

Here's another laughable claim:
"Without any changes, the Beavercreek City School District would start the 2015 fiscal year with $5.2 million in the bank, not enough to open the schools for 2015/16 school year."
As if $5.2 million is not enough to fund the schools for a day. Or two days. Or 20 days. This is another lie that governments espouse to manipulate people into voting for more taxes. They didn't say the problem was this year. It's in the future, the very near future, so scared residents have a chance to save their children if they only vote to raise taxes. What a crock. If only it was true. If only Beavercreek government schools would disappear after the 2014/2015 session. If that really happened, the children of Beavercreek would enjoy a tremendous improvement in quality of education and their parents would pay a tremendously lower price to make that happen. But it won't. This is a scam, and it will succeed.
