Partisanship, the two parties, and the mainstream

I'm tired of hearing the Democrats and the liberal press whine about partisanship. Neither of the two parties represents mainstream America, which is libertarian, and whenever the Republicans adopt policies that are truly mainstream such as smaller government and tax reform, the Democrats and liberal press scream about it. I have no doubt they recognize that the if the two parties actually empower mainstream Americans, it will end the two party system, so when Republicans move toward the mainstream, they panic.

The liberal press loves to talk about the center as if it represents America, but it's just a way of hiding the fact that neither party represents the mainstream of the country.
