My letter about the election to Senator Voinovich

Senator Voinovich,

This election was a victory for freedom and for libertarians who stopped the alarming race of Republicans to out-liberal Democrats. LBJ is jealous of the Bush Republicans' liberal policies, and libertarians put an end to them. Republicans need to make a right turn and come back to the mainstream. It's a failure of the two party system, not the voters, that the only way to stop Republicans was to put Democrats in power, but we'll fix that in two years.

Republicans need to admit their mistakes and regain credibility with the American people. Please vote for all new leadership in the Reagan/Gingrich mold. Otherwise Republicans won't have credibility in 2008. After that, please adopt the following Reagan/Gingrich reformist agenda, and Republicans will win in a landslide in 2008:

1) Freeze spending. No pork or earmarks. Hold discretionary spending flat for 2 years. After Republican's spending orgy, Americans deserve that and more.

Trash the failed liberal entitlements. We don't need to fix them, we need to replace them with small government, personal empowered programs that can be sustained. Every American deserves as good a retirement plan as Galveston residents.

Get the government out of the health care business. It's making the government go broke and driving up health care costs. Government interference is making it hard for Americans to afford health care; more government interference will cost even more and make it even more expensive. Health care costs will drop and quality will rise when Americans pay for their own health care. Americans will also get healthier when they pay for their own health care.

Fix our education system by abolishing the Dept. of Education. This will save money and stop the federal destruction of education in America. Free the states, local governments, the free market, and the people to give our kids a chance to compete in the world market.

2) Abolish the income tax - support the FairTax. The income tax penalizes American made products and American workers, and is causing America to hemorrhage jobs overseas. Stop the anti-American madness. Support the FairTax.

3) Stop the southern invasion. No reward for gate-crashers - every time it gets mentioned 1 million new hispanics flood the country.

Republicans are responsible for the current illegal immigration crisis, and hypocrites like JD Hayworth paid the price for their audacity to claim to be hawks after a decade of failure. The unfunded fence just highlighted the hypocrisy. Stop the invasion, then you can run on your success, instead of running on your failure.

We don't need a real fence; a virtual fence, aggressive arrests of employers who hire illegals, and no benefits for illegals will stop the invasion. Most illegals will go home and apply for visas. We'll catch the rest, convict them, and make sure they never can return.

4) No liberal wars without end that inevitably lead to retreat and defeat. The change we need is to crush our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan, destroy the militias, the death squads, and the foreign terrorists. Then we can bring our troops home triumphantly. Bush's LBJ strategy of politically correct warfare is a proven failed policy. Bush has allowed our enemies to survive and fight over and over, and it has to stop.

5) Support a plan for energy independence. We should cut our dependence on foreign energy by 50% in fewer than 10 years, and have complete energy independence in fewer than 20 years.

We crushed Mike DeWine because he was a RINO. Ohio won't support liberal, big-spending, amnesty-loving, endless war-loving Senators like DeWine. Sharrod Brown probably won't get the message, and if not, we'll defeat him in 6 years. Please support the Reagan/Gingrich policy of freedom and returning power to the people, which means smaller government, an end to the income tax, strong border security, and no endless wars. If you chose new leadership then back this agenda as a party, Republicans will win in a landslide in 2008. The only reason Bush's elections have been so close is because of his dangerous liberal agenda.

Thank you for your time.
