Free kibbles

Even liberals know that the entitlement crisis in the US is the greatest threat facing America. But neither party will do anything about it.

Georgia calls for cease-fire. I'd say that's in Georgia's best interests. They're not ready to go toe-to-toe with the Russians, and hopefully Bush isn't dumb enough to send in American forces.

Pakistani forces kill 100 militants in tribal lands. It's about time the government got serious about fighting these terrorists. Appeasement has won them nothing but increased violence, as we always knew it would.

I have no confidence in this supposed power sharing deal between Zimbabwean dictator Mugabe and opposition leader Tsvangirai. I don't think anything can be gained by making a deal with that devil. It'll just give Mugabe's strong-man tactics legitimacy.

How in the world can 54% of Americans view both Obama and McCain favorably? That seems impossible to me. And I'm not just talking about them being the worst pair of candidates since Ford/Carter. These are 2 major Congressional leaders, and last I saw, Congress's approval rating was 9%.

Letter from Obama supporter suggest Barack Obama may be an incarnation of God. This is the kind of people Obama attracts.Them and Hamas leaders. Can anybody think of some examples in history when lunatic fanatics pushed a charismatic leader to power?

Rationing, as the global warming fanatics propose, is fascism.

Businesses, including oil companies, don't pay taxes. All they do is pass their tax burden on to the consumer, who pays those taxes through higher prices. This graph shows exactly how Obama's plan will work. Needless to say, just like when Carter implemented a windfall profits tax in the '70s, the consumer loses.

This is too funny. This article comes right out and says that many Cook County Illinois jailers are, or were, dishonest, mentally unstable, or overweight. New entrance tests have weeded them out, and now there's a shortage of jailers. This is a new twist: government actually attempting to hire good employees.

Man, this is a fantastic video showing not only how cops routinely abuse their power on the streets, but how they systematically lie about it in their statements and in the courtroom. This particular case shows a mob of NYC cops arresting a bunch of bicyclists. I know the cops and these bicyclists often have run ins, neither group likes the other for good reason, but it doesn't matter what the history is. What the cops do here, which is the same as cops do everywhere, is inconsistent with a free society. It's not enough that the bicyclists were acquitted, these cops should be arrested for violating the rights of the bicyclists under color of law. Instead, the government looks the other way and allows the abuse to continue and grow. This undermines the rule of law and the respect of government.

This is a model for how groups of people who have suffered from police abuse should respond. Multiple cameras from all angles to capture so much video that the cops can't help but be exposed. You watch though. Cities where cameras capture police abuse too often will find a way to make filming the police during a "police action" illegal.

  2. But apparently people hate everybody else's congressmen. Except McCain and Obama, who are among the worst of the bunch.
