Free kibbles

San Francisco issues IDs to illegal aliens. These aren't drivers' licenses, so they can't use them to get on airplanes. They're probably useful for getting bank accounts though. If the feds were smart, they'd use those IDs to round up illegal aliens in San Franscisco and deport them. Apparently NY Governor Spitzer has abandoned his plan to give drivers' licenses to illegal aliens. I wonder how he justifies changing his mind other than sticking his finger in the wind.

Texas mayors propose widening the Rio Grand instead of putting up a border fence. I like that idea in theory, but where do you think they'll get the additional water? It's a desert down there. Maybe a damn?

DC handgun ban was ineffective. All gun bans are.

FBI finds that Blackwater agents broke the rules of engagement when they killed 14 of the Iraqis. Apparently they were justified in killing 3. How does that happen? If they were justified in killing 3, then they were in a firefight in the fog of war, and trying to pass judgment on them is dangerous. But we are forced to hire contractors because our government is broken.

Uneven growth in Africa.

Teacher uses school computers to chat about raping students, but isn't fired. Shouldn't this guy be fired for both his perversions and his stupidity? I don't want to hear about the teachers' unions blocking firing this guy. Fire him anyway, and make the teachers' unions defend him. Let's see how that works out for them.

Article claims that all branches of the military have met their recruiting goals. Two weeks ago that I read an article that said the Army had record low recruits. The press has been reporting it both ways since the Iraq war started. Which is it?

First liberals complain that the military is filled with poor blacks with no alternatives. Now they're complaining because enlistment by blacks is down. As usual, they want it both ways. Liberals will turn anything into an opportunity to hurt America.

Reason buys into the global warming fraud and discusses alternate fuels in that context.

The danger of voter fraud.

Liberals attempt to capitalize on homophobia to tarnish Giuliani.

Chuck Norris is fundraising for Mike Huckabee. There's a joke in there somewhere. Huckabee closing in on Romney in Iowa.

Edwards is trying to outsocialist Hillary Clinton by proposing to force employers to pay for even more family leave (that's days not working) for their employees.

Wolf Blitzer denies that Hillary's campaign has warned him not to gang up on her.

State capital quiz. I've forgotten too many of these.

Parents indicted for leaving children, 9 and 6, alone at skateboard park. This isn't abuse. Criminalizing parenting we don't agree with is damaging the country.

Cato says that government interference in the oil market is more dangerous than high oil prices.

I have heard quite a few Bush haters say they hate the way Bush talks. I wonder if that isn't the root of Bush hatred. Maybe they started out hating him because of the way he talks, and they never got past it. I know one person who claimed she could tell Bush was a racist because of the way he talked.

John Stossel explains that the IPCC is an inherently political organization because the scientists on the panel are appointed by politicians because of their beliefs. I had no idea. No wonder they promote the big-government fraud of global warming. Adaptation is the best response to inevitable climate change.

Democrat plans to try and force our troops to retreat.

Because of Bush's tax cuts, the rich are paying a higher and higher percentage of federal taxes. That's because they're making more money, as is everybody. But many people, there was a study on this, will forgo their own wealth just to punish the rich.

Surfer proposes elegant theory of everything.

Effective rail guns are still a long way away.

Affordable solar energy? Extracting oil out of hydrocarbons. Now that's recycling.
