It looks like the US and western government backed rebels in Syria overreached in Aleppo. They are being blamed for the subsequent humanitarian crisis. Apparently they weren't able to lie about this event and blame government forces for their massacres.

"In million-dollar apartments in a neighborhood of the city as yet unscathed, the battle for Aleppo plays out daily on flat-screen TVs. Amid imported sofas and abstract art, the revolution doesn't seem so close."

Apparently the US's revolutionaries don't want to alienate those in million dollar apartments.
