Free kibbles

Mexican drug cartels, funded and empowered by the US War on Drugs, kill 3 top Mexican policemen in 3 days. If we legalized drugs, this violence would stop. The Taliban would be disarmed. Drug violence in America would stop. At least 1 million Americans would be saved from prison.

Showing how the world has changed, Putin promises Russians a reduction in oil taxes. Russia understand that taxes a burden, and reducing them leads to economic growth. But Democrats promise to raise taxes on Americans anyway. Ronald Reagan won the Cold War over the Soviets by cutting taxes and dramatically simplifying the tax code. Now we're in the role of the Soviets while Russia (and China) has taken our role of free market reformers, with predictable consequences.

OPEC considers increasing oil production. How nice of them.

Sudan accuses Chad of supporting rebels who attacked Khartoum, and cuts diplomatic ties.

Fox fires intern for supporting McCain. Good for Fox. We know that 90% of journalists support Democrats, and that the vast majority of news organizations are overwhelmingly liberal, but when have you ever heard of a news organization firing an employee for supporting a Democrat? This just goes to show that Fox, unlike the other stations, takes impartiality in its reporters, seriously.

Holy crap. McCain is going to make hay with this, but it's probably considered untouchable by Hillary. Obama adviser has direct ties to Hamas, and resigned after being asked about them. If this guy and Obama thought it was OK for him to have ties to Hamas, why did he step down? They thought the press would never call them on it. But once the British press did, not the US press, he stepped down. Our press bias is sickening. McCain was absolutely right about Hamas preferring Obama. I doubt this makes the mainstream news.

McCain's selection to run the Republican convention has resigned after he was exposed as lobbying for the military junta in Myanmar (Burma), which is now confiscating supplies sent to help cyclone survivors. We picked a couple of fine candidates didn't we. Only a Republican and a Democrat could be this terrible of candidates.

Any bets on how long before some terrorist kills this engineering professor?

Inexpensive, small wind generator.
