Free kibbles

Photo coverage of Iranian President Ahmadinejad and his Defense Minister touring nuclear facilities. The Defense Minister wouldn't tour a civilian power facility.

State Dept. official cannot account for 400 laptops. That's out efficient government in action.

Sin taxes creep onto TV sets and video games.

Speculators bet dollar will rise. That's because insiders think Bernanke is finished cutting interest rates. Let's hope so.

Liberal tries to make the case that requiring voters to show ID is a poll tax because IDs cost money. Getting food and water costs money and takes time and effort too, and they're required
for a person to be able to vote. Are they a poll tax too? Getting to the polls takes energy, even if you walk, and energy costs money and takes time and effort. Is that a poll tax too? How about clothes? Learning to read English? It's funny to see how far liberals will reach for their specious arguments.

After over year of campaigning, the Democrats finally have a difference on policy - the gas tax holiday. Maybe Democrats will talk about something besides race, gender, and class for a change. As usual, both sides have it wrong. Obama is wrong when he says consumers won't receive the benefit. Of course they will, at first, but then increased demand will quickly drive prices right back up. Then when the tax comes back in September, voters will be unhappy. Clinton was smart to jump on McCain's bandwagon on this issue. Consumers will be happy right after it goes into effect, helping her against Obama in the primary, and she can't be hurt on it against McCain. Obama is smart to stay away from it because he plans on winning the primary, and he can use it against McCain in November.

Filly breaks finishes second at Kentucky Derby, then breaks both ankles. Vets had to euthanize
her on the track.

Drug may control AIDS.

Republican House members favor earmarks by a 2 to 1 margin. Why is that about what they want? They work for us. This should be about what the people want.

Rev. Wright hurt Obama in the Democrat polls.

Democrats must think we forgot how well the windfall profit tax on oil companies worked in the Carter years - oil prices went up, and domestic production went down. It's simple economics.
