Free kibbles

Judge orders medical examiner to rule death of men accidental and to remove all references to Taser from the medical report. A has no power to manipulate a medical report. This is
outrageous.

Government has no business forcing doctors to artificially inseminate women they don't want to.
I can understand this woman suing because the doctors strung her along for a year, but not because they chose not to inseminate her.

America isn't the only target of Chinese cyber-warfare. China cyber-attacks India every day.

Trying to compare Liddy to Ayers is like comparing a (Watergate) break-in to a series of
bombings (The Weather Underground).

This photo of Bill Ayers standing on the flag won't do help Obama.

The more things changed, the more they stay the same. Socialist George Orwell rips fellow
socialists for their effete, snobbish ways. He's wrong about the substance, but he's right about the style.

Showing the power of the free market to improve lives, Walmart lowers price of many
prescription drugs
again.

Windfall profits taxes for dummies.

George Will explains that Harry Truman expanded the president's war powers to the point were Congress doesn't have to declare war anymore. We have to put an end to that. But it's not
accurate to say that Congress didn't declare war in Iraq. Transfering the power to declare war to the president was a cowardly, but de facto, declaration of war. Bush was a fool for falling for it, and
the whole country has paid a terrible price. Any president should force Congress to make a clear declaration of war before invading another country.

Religious zealots blame shark attacks on global warming. Theymust not have received the memo that the planet is cooling.

London elected a conservative mayor. I don't understand why this is a bid deal. I bet nothing changes.

More and more data are pouring in showing that the world just switched from a perfectly normal warming cylce to a perfectly normal cooling cycle. This as forced the global warming con men to retool their hysteria, admitting it's going to cool for a while, but then that evil man-made global warming is going to come back. Heck, they can never lose with that argument because the world will inevitably, naturally heat up again. Then they can say "I told you so!" If they knew so much about climate, how come they didn't predict this cooling period before? (Rhetorical question.)

Author recognizes that climate warms up with high sunspot activity and cools down with low sunspot activity. He also recognizes that at the end of the 20th century, sunspots were very
active. But instead drawing the obvious conclusion, the sunspots raised the temperature of the planet, he still falls back on his religion, claiming man-made CO2 warmed the planet. Somebody should teach this guy that 2 + 2 = 4. It's just stunning that with all the evidence that solar
activity is the major driver of climate in this article, the author clings to his bogus man-made
global warming religion.

Fantastic analysis of how solar cycles, length more than height, drive climate. Analysis predicts
we are entering a climate cycle at least as cold as the Dalton Minimum, and maybe as bad as the Maunder Minimum, which was the little ice age. It predicts temperatures will drop 2 degrees C in the next decade. It also shows that CO2 is good for the climate in every, slightly warming it, because increasing CO2 only has a logarithmic increase on tempertures, it can't do any harm. It also shows how increasing atmospheric CO2 increases plant growth and therefore crop productivity, which will be necessary during the shortened growing season. This is a long, detailed presentation, full of charts and graphs, but it's easy to follow for anybody.

Other scientists predict solar cycle 24 will be a very active cycle, but so far cycle 24 is
exceptionally quiet. Another scientist predicts colder climate similar to Dalton Minimum.
Another prediction that cycle 24 will start late (it's late), but will be very strong. It's safe to say
this isn't settled science any more than understanding climate change.

Solid water forms in space when hydrogen interacts with frozen oxygen.

Cato explains that the Bolivian referendum on autonomy is the result of the socialist,
authoritarian central government of Evo Morales.

Christopher Hitchens forgets his typical high-brow prose in this essay which questions whether Michelle Obama is the force that kept Barack Obama attached to the radical loon Rev. Wright, and wonders what the implications are for an Obama presidency. Wright and Michelle Obama share a lot of the same rhetoric, unlike Barack.

7 libertarians discuss why government is at the root of our economic problems, and why government will probably act to make them worse.

Robert Novak illustrates that Republicans are just Democrats-lite. Nancy Pelosi has hijacked the appropriations process to increase spending despite the budget, and Republicans have supported her the entire way. There is no longer a difference between the 2 parties. American voters have to vote 3rd party to exercise a choice.

Michael Yon calls the current battle and casualties occuring in Iraq because the Iraqi government and the US is finally confronting the Mehdi Army "the storm before the calm."

Essayists remember 1968.
