Right to Keep and Bear Arms

People have downloaded over 100,000 copies of a printable gun spec in two days. Kim Dotcom and Pirate Bay, both already under attack by government for piracy, host the specs. That's like poking an angry bear with a stick. Somebody's going to get hurt. The US government seizes the download info. That didn't take long.
"“[Defense Distributed's] files are being removed from public access at the request of the U.S. Department of Defense Trade Controls," read a banner atop the website. "Until further notice, the United States government claims control of the information.”
Wilson tells FoxNews.com that he decided to comply to a request by the Pentagon to take down the gun specs from his website while he weighs his legal options.
"They asked that I take it down while they determine if they have the authority to control the info," he said. "It's clearly a direct response to everything we did this week. 3D printing is clearly not the best way to make an effective weapon."
Wilson says he has complied to most laws on the books and feels that the D.O.D.'s request may be more politically motivated."
What incredible lawlessness.

Economist claims one of the reasons many people promote gun control is they fear they will commit suicide. I don't think I buy that argument. Do they also support car and bridge control? But I've long argued that most non-government people who advocate gun control do so because they have self-control problems. They don't trust themselves with a gun so they don't trust anybody else with a gun. On the flip side, most firearm supporters don't have self-control issues. They carry and use firearms their entire lives without incident. Of course rulers support gun control because they fear their prey will use firearms against them.
