Can you imagine how crappy a government run, nationwide wireless network would be? Supposedly it would be like cell phone networks. The problem with that comparison is cell phone networks were built by the private sector in response to market demand. There's obviously no market demand for a nationwide wi-fi network. But if the government did this, it could control the internet, and that's what this is ultimately about.

I'm skeptical of this claim the earth is on the edge of the habitable zone. The implication is if the earth heated a tiny bit, it would become uninhabitable.
