Education

The government is advising administrators, teachers and even students to confront gun wielding mass murderers. In a sane world, this advice wouldn't bad. It's far better to fight back than to die cowering in a corner. I'd use every weapon I could get my hands on, desks, shoes, books, whatever, to pummel and distract the shooter until I could get my hands on him. But what's not mentioned here is the government has forcibly disarmed all these people. You don't declaw a cat, then throw it into a fight with with a cat with claws. This is the same government that told airline customers to sit quietly while hijackers flew their planes into buildings.

Heavily armed and armored government overkill champion proclaims...

"You've got to be a one-man fighting force.... You've got to have enough guns, and ammunition and body armor to stay alive.... You should be walking around in schools every day in complete tactical equipment, with semi-automatic weapons.... You can no longer afford to think of yourselves as peace officers.... You must think of yourself [sic] as soldiers in a war because we're going to ask you to act like soldiers."

I'd rather fire these people now. Let them get jobs as farmers.
