Fifteen Senators ask Obama to withdraw Hagel nomination. That's like one football team asking another to take their offense off the field because it's scoring too many points.
""The occupant of this critical office should be someone whose candidacy is neither controversial nor divisive," the GOP senators wrote. "That's hilarious. They create controversy, then use that controversy as a reason to ask Obama to withdraw him. I think the 15 Republicans should resign, and every other politician with them. For Paul supporters, he didn't sign the letter. Rubio did though.
Obama calls Boehner and McConnell about sequestration. The political theater heightens. He could have called them months ago and worked out a deal. Neither side wants the spending cuts, so they won't happen. But they might increase the theater to the point where cuts occur temporarily. But they're playing with fire. If they really cut spending, it will help the economy, and the American people will stop being scared of cuts. That's the last thing they want.
