Dayton Construction

Here's the latest Dayton Construction update. Here's the last Dayton Construction post. As you can see from this picture, all the cones have been removed from the Main Street, I-75 interchange. That took about three years, but the road construction there is effectively finished. But the corner properties are a mess and will likely continue to be worked on.

This picture shows the new ramp onto south I-75, and the exit off that ramp is the route through our park.

This picture looking north up I-75 shows the road bed workers have laid through our park.

And inexplicably yesterday, workers operating a backhoe and bulldozer destroyed a nice flower garden at the top of the stairs from the bus stop under I-75 across from the park. This picture of the top of the levee shows where the garden was. This was a pretty little spot. The bus stop is nice. The stairs up the levee are nice. The flower garden was nice. I suspect they'll replace it with more elaborate decorations. This is the modern day version of paying people to dig ditches then fill them in. It wastes resources and makes us all poorer.
