Free kibbles

Musharraf already accused of plotting fraud before tomorrow's election.

Russia understands that we're using our anti-missile defense system to shoot down the failed satellite in order to prove the system has dual use as an anti-satellite weapon. They don't want the system to be dual use, and they don't want us to salvage something positive from losing this satellite. China is concerned. They want to be the only country with proven anti-satellite weapons. Tough.

Kosovo declares independence from Serbia in another breakup of the old Yugoslavian state. This gives the US, EU, and Russia something else to fight about. Russia condemns.

Biggest suicide bomb in Afghanistan since 2001 kills at least 80.

Attacks in Baghdad fall 80%. That's wonderful.

India battles Maoist rebels. Mao is the most evil, deadly dictator in history. Even worse than Stalin, as hard to believe as that is, killing over 65 million people. What kind of monster would support that? Supporting communism should be grounds for declaring a person legally and dangerously insane.

Judge rules that a Myspace friends request violates protection order.

Chelsea Clinton has been drafted against her will into Hillary's campaign. That might be a better choice of words than "pimped out", but it describes the same situation.

Vote tallies in Dems NY primary were wildly miscounted, with many districts reporting 0 votes for Obama. It's hard to believe that's an accident. The Clinton corruption machine is alive and well. Liberals are finally getting to see the Clintons for who they really are, the way the majority of the country has known them for 16 years.

Obama's messiah website. Video of Obama supporters fainting.

Of course natural selection works on culture as well as genes. That's why some cultures are superior to others - they provide benefits for their people for producing productive progeny (PPP). Genes and culture are both in a spiral of natural selection. As one changes it influences the other to change. I don't think it's coincidence that this interaction could be graphically represented as an interlocked double-helix, spiraling over time and space. I.e., it looks just like DNA.

Crystals can store CO2. The American people, without draconian, punishing laws from Congress, as always deliver a solution to a perceived problem. But since man-made CO2 has at most a minuscule effect on climate, we won't need that crystal.

Obama's hipness caters to a hipster crowd that tosses fads aside as quickly as the fall for them. Will Obama's popularity last?

Liberal praises Rove as a TV analyst. I don't want to watch him.

George Will understands that John McCain will have to explain his seeming love of conflict and war, especially regarding Iran and our future role in Iraq.

The ruling class mentality isn't restricted to Washington. Every state capitol and local government suffers from the same problem with government aristocracy. Nebraska lawmakers are waging an ongoing war with citizens to block the power of the citizens to pass legislation limiting the power of government. The latest battle is retaliation because the citizens of Nebraska forced term limits on the legislature. People all over the country understand the problem with government aristocracy, and are trying to push term limits to put and end to it. We need a US Constitutional Amendment to do the same for Congress.

Americans want economic security in the form of an unchanging workplace. That's not going to happen. Workers need to be prepared to learn new skills and new jobs. But they're looking for that unchanging work environment from Clinton and McCain - statism, not change. Obama also promises statism while saying the word change a lot.

Americans are getting dumber despite the increasing number of college degrees. I'm not so sure you can blame that on not reading books, but reading books is part of a balanced breakfast. Lord knows TV news could and should be more informative news. I still think an informative news channel would make big money on cable - not like CSPAN, but with half-hour or hour long in depth stories on all the hot issues of the day. TV and video can inform in ways books can't, but we're not using the medium that way. That's not the medium's fault. It's ours. But TV does ruin the attention span, and sitting a reading a good book for hours does wonders for it.

Cold Wave in India Attributed to Global Warming is an actual headline. When you have the power of the press to propagate such amazing lies, you can convince the people of anything, like that Al Gore isn't a lying sack of hot air.

Thanks to this astrophysicist who started a lecture series explaining that climate change is driven by changes in solar activity and output. She also points out that witch-hunts and witch executions were carried out in the past combat climate change. She didn't have to point out that Al Gore's Church of Man-made Global Warming is doing the same thing to skeptics today.

I think we should broadcast some TV shows into Gaza to compete with Hamas TV for children and its bunny rabbit that wants to kill Jews.

Lion hugs its rescuer/companion.

Japanese drum animation.

Analyst is suggesting that government and the Fed may follow the same New Deal policies that kept us mired in the Great Depression including buying securities to prop up prices.
