War

Glenn Greenwald asks,
"If "terrorism" means the use of violence aimed at civilians in order to induce political change from their government, what is it called when intense economic suffering is imposed on a civilian population in order to induce political change from their government? Can those two tactics be morally distinguished?"
Sanctions are threats of violence backed by violence. In motive, they cannot be distinguished from the classic definition of terrorism, which has been badly redefined by government to mean any violence against the government. We have to take back the meaning of the word terrorism because our government is using it to group us with them, which we are not.

Al Qaeda rebuilding in Iraq, thanks US for toppling Saddam so it could infiltrate.
