Local

So last week gas prices were falling like crazy. Suddenly they've jumped like 30 cents overnight. I'm sure they'll blame it on the storm, but this storm isn't taking out any production. I managed to get gas at $3.08 while everywhere else was already $3.45.

If the people of Montgomery County want to purchase property to widen a bike path on Austin Boulevard, they can start and investment program to pay for it. This "common good" crap is just an excuse for the county to steal the property using eminent domain.
"“We did move the path closer to the road across the front of this parcel, as close to the road as is permitted by ODOT. We don’t bend roads around specific parcels unless there is truly a historic property, other severe environmental impacts, or severe economic impacts,” he said."
In other words the state does not acknowledge your ownership of your property. Ultimately, it owns all property, and it just generously allows us to buy and sell the right to rent it as long as we use it for a government approved purpose.
