Tax and Spend

Thomas Sowell explains why capital gains are taxed at a lower rate than guaranteed income.

Thomas Sowell really misses the point by focusing on the pay of politicians. No matter how much you pay them, the power of coercion will still attract the worst people in the country to government work, the worst of those worst will still rise to the top. Power corrupts regardless of how much people are paid. Besides which, becoming a politician is the fastest way to get rich.

NASA spends your tax dollars having Curiosity check in on Foursquare providing further evidence it's mission is humanity's most outrageous publicity stunt. I wonder how much Foursquare paid for this.
