Foreign Policy

Mark Steyn blasts Obama and his minions for politicizing the massacre in Benghazi.

Hillary Clinton upstages Obama again by claiming responsibility for not protecting the staff in Benghazi.
""I take responsibility," she said in Lima, Peru, in her first interview about the 11 September attack that killed the US ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other Americans.
"I'm in charge of the state department's 60,000-plus people all over the world [at] 275 posts. The president and the vice-president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals [who are] the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision.""
On the one hand, this makes her look like a team player. On the other hand, it makes her look presidential and Obama look weak. But it's all a sham. She isn't going to resign. Neither she nor Obama is going to fire anybody. Taking responsibility means something has to change, otherwise the words are meaningless, and these words are meaningless. In further evidence these words are meaningless, Clinton also said,
"On Monday, when asked if the initial reports indicated that there had been an intelligence failure, Clinton said she didn’t want to engage in a “blame game.”
"What we want to do is get to the bottom of what happened, figure out what we're going to do to protect people and prevent it from happening again, and then track down who ever did it and bring them to justice," Clinton said, echoing Biden's comments during the debate."
She just wants to tread water until this story disappears.
