Illustrating just how much damage Romney did by illegally steamrolling Ron Paul during the primaries and at the Republican convention, some Republican members of the electoral college are considering voting for Ron Paul instead of Romney.

"With the 2012 election expected to be a close one, the possibility of defections by several members of the Electoral College could deprive Romney of the presidency."
