Economy

American company to build a city on Honduras free from Honduran government control with laws based on Texas laws. It's funny to call this a test of a free market capitalism since it will be regulated by Texas-style laws. But the bigger problem is the uncertainty. There's nothing to stop the Honduran government from messing with it once it gets going, and this fear will depress its growth. Also the entire project seems centrally planned which will also depress its growth. Still, if it really becomes the most economically free location in the world, it will do well. If Honduras manages to follow China's free market zones, it could work out great.

The myth of the failure of capitalism. Our economy is trashed because of government intervention, not laissez faire.
