Free kibbles

ECONOMY:

I hadn't read this anywhere else:
"The U.S. labor force is at its lowest level in 30 years.  In other words, people have simply given up trying to find work. If you’re not even looking for work, you’re not counted as unemployed."
Thirty years.

REGULATION:

Obama bans new uranium mines on a million acres of government land near the Grand Canyon. This is why government should not own property.
"Uranium claims on public land near the national park have risen in line with soaring prices for this mineral, from fewer than 1,000 a year in 2005 to more than 8,000 in 2009, though annual claims have declined slightly since then, according to figures from the Bureau of Land Management."
The people clearly feel that uranium is valuable, but Obama doesn't care about the people.

POLICE STATE:

The FBI found another patsy to bust in a sting with a phony bomb. This also shows the failure of our immigration naturalization system. Why is a person like this allowed to become a US citizen? How hard is it to investigate the character of these people before we give them citizenship?

FOREIGN POLICY:

Iranians enriching uranium to 20 percent to produce isotopes for medical equipment. Needless to say, many consider this cause for starting a war. They're not even trying to keep this secret. The let the IAEA examine the facility.
"In an interview broadcast Sunday, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Iran is laying the groundwork for making nuclear weapons someday, but is not yet building a bomb. "
This makes sense to me. It makes sense they would develop all the technologies necessary to make a bomb, but not make one because making one would make them a target and would set up a chain reaction of bomb making in the region.

POLITICS:

Paul cutting into Romney's lead in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire Secretary of State says counting votes in public could harm the integrity of the election. No. It could harm the establishment's efforts to rig the election.

National poll shows Romney and Paul tied with Obama.

MEDIA:

An unruly mob of reporters forces Ron Paul and his family from a campaign event in a New Hampshire diner. Ignoring him didn't work. Smearing him didn't work. So now they're chasing him away from voters.
"“I think he lost some votes.”"
I'm sure that was the goal.

MISC:

George Will understands the nature of government, but his blaming of liberals is baloney. Conservatives and Republicans have done nearly as much to enrich the ruling class at our expense as liberals and Democrats.
"Liberals have a rendezvous with regret. Their largest achievement is today’s redistributionist government. But such government is inherently regressive: It tends to distribute power and money to the strong, including itself.Government becomes big by having big ambitions for supplanting markets as society’s primary allocator of wealth and opportunity. Therefore it becomes a magnet for factions muscular enough, in money or numbers or both, to bend government to their advantage."
True, but when is he going to blame his conservative and Republican cronies for their roles?
