Rand Paul and the other tea party candidates campaigned aggressively against earmarks. Now that Paul has been elected, he has a very narrow definition of earmark. Basically Paul is saying earmarks are fine if they're inserted into legislation in committee after debate. He's only against earmarks slipped into bills by powerful aristocrats without debate. Paul obviously realizes the Constitution gives Congress the power to appropriate money and government steals trillions from Americans in all states, so he wants Kentuckians to get some of that money back.
So the new poll question is:
Is Rand Paul selling out on earmarks?
