Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

Boortz is pleasantly surprised that the co-chairs of Obama's deficit commission are recommending about 75 percent spending cuts and 25 percent tax increases. We don't know if that's what the final report will recommend, but it certainly could be a lot worse. In fact, having the leading Democrat on the panel basically refute the entire leftist agenda is pretty funny. Nancy Pelosi is not pleased. I bet Obama isn't either. I still haven't heard a recommendation for a VAT tax.

Around the world, people are cutting spending. Except for Obama.

REGULATION:

Cute video shows how the power to license is the power to destroy.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Because the Chinese central bank ties its currency to the dollar and the Fed has been aggressively devaluing the dollar, the Chinese people are suffering rampant inflation. Before you think China is about to take over the world economically, read this:
"Take a shower once a week and save the water to wash the clothes and then flush your toilet.

That's the advice handed out by the "Kou Kou Zu" website to the growing number of Chinese who are struggling to make ends meet.

Kou Kou Zu, or the stingy group, was established in July 2009. It is part of a growing movement that caters to millions of ordinary Chinese who are feeling the pinch of rising food prices and soaring costs.

It also tells its members to put two plastic bottles in the toilet tank to ensure a low water-consumption flush; reduce the frequency of hair-dressing; eschew restaurants for company and school canteens; go shopping online instead of shopping malls."
Central planning is doomed to fail in all things.

HEALTH CARE:

Because government controls dialysis in America, the survival rate here is the lowest in the industrialized world and the prices among the highest.

GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:

Many incidents during the Gulf oil spill show Obama put politics ahead of science. Like that's something new. Government exists to enrich and empower the aristocrats and their cronies at the expense of the people, and it always has.

POLICE STATE:

Unfortunately the TSA security scam is just a test bed for implementing these police everywhere. Security people are now groping people as they enter sporting events. The mobile nude-scanners are scanning people and vehicles on the street and at events.

In an attempt to justify the nude-scanners, the FDA claims they only shorten the life of the subject by 42 minutes per scan. As if that's OK. If you're the government, life means nothing to you, every law is carries a death sentence for people who resist, and who routinely kill people, stealing 42 minutes of life from an individual every time he wants to get from point A to point B means nothing. But if you're the person who's life is being stolen, it means a hell of a lot. No thank you.

WAR:

Iraq's aristocrats form a government corrupted by power, like all of them. Government worshipers will tell us this is a good thing, but I'm not so sure.
"Allawi's bloc won 91 seats in the election, two more than Maliki's State of Law coalition. However, the prime minister was able to outmanoeuvre his rival largely through the power of incumbency. An Iranian-brokered deal to win the support of the hardline Shia Sadrist movement was also crucial to his success."
The Iraqis are quick students of government corruption.

POLITICS:

Jim DeMint is working hard to poison the tea party movement with social issues. I doubt he's nearly as tough on fiscal issues as he wants us to believe.

Just to put to bed this notion that the tea party hurt Republicans instead of helping them, tea party candidates outperformed generic Republican candidates.

MISC:

Amateur investigator concludes the missile-like contrail near LA from a couple of days ago was created by US Airways flight 808.
