Free kibbles

TAX AND SPEND:

House Democrats plan to pass another $75 stimulus boondoggle before Christmas to take more money out of the economy and make it more depressed.

FEDERAL RESERVE:

You know our economy is messed up when good news from the Fed causes stocks to fall. That's because fear of rising interest rates caused investors to shift from stocks to the dollar. Bernanke has painted himself into a corner with this zero percent interest rate. All he can do is raise it and deflate this new, wimpy bubble he created.

Time names Ben Bernanke person of the year.

The jump in producer prices is another sign of inflation.

HEALTH CARE:

Rally against Obamacare in Washington. It sounds pretty impressive for being impromptu. Democrat Party chairman Dean calls for Senators to kill the health care oppression bill. Oddly enough, it's not oppressive enough for him. As many of us predicted, Obama is ripping his own party apart. It isn't just his policies. It's his rule by thuggery approach as well. Obama wants to be a despot, not a president.

Senator Coburn has forced the reading of a 700+ page amendment calling for a single payer system. I know this is only a delaying tactic, but that's valuable. It's a shame Republicans haven't done anything of consequence before this 11th hour and 59th minute maneuver, but I support it anyway. Anything to give the people time to make their senators vote against it.

Apparently Republicans just figured out the Democrats are using bait and switch tactics against them. Apparently with all their other bad attributes, they're not too bright.

Boortz reports that Obama told Senate Democrats this is just the beginning. After they pass this health care bill, they're going to come back and pass an even more oppressive one. That's his sales pitch to bring in the most socialist members of his party, the Deanites, to convince them to support this bill even though it doesn't have the full blown public option.

Super analysis by Cato of the impact a final health care oppression law will have on Americans. I don't like that insurers can drop people if they develop a chronic illness. That's what insurance is for. Dropping somebody because they develop an illness covered by their policy is breach of contract.

Powerful aristocrats from far left districts are happy to sacrifice 20 to 40 Democrat seats to pass health care. Of course they are. Their constituents will love them for it, so why not throw the others under the bus?
"I put the question to a Democratic strategist who asked to remain anonymous. Yes, Democrats certainly understand that voters don't like the current bills, he told me, and they are fully aware they will probably pay a price next year. But they have found a way to view going ahead anyway as the logical thing to do, at least in their eyes.

You have to look at the issue from three different Democratic perspectives: the House of Representatives, the White House and the Senate.

"In the House, the view of [California Rep. Henry] Waxman and [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi is that we've waited two generations to get health care passed, and the 20 or 40 members of Congress who are going to lose their seats as a result are transitional players at best," he said. "This is something the party has wanted since Franklin Roosevelt." In this view, losses are just the price of doing something great and historic. (The strategist also noted that it's easy for Waxman and Pelosi to say that, since they come from safely liberal districts.)"

They know the American people don't want this rammed down their throats, but all they care about is personal power."

Even if there's a strategic rationale for doing it, why are Democrats dead-set on hurting themselves?

"Because they think they know what's best for the public," the strategist said. "They think the facts are being distorted and the public's being told a story that is not entirely true, and that they are in Congress to be leaders. And they are going to make the decision because Goddammit, it's good for the public.""

Baloney. This is all about power.

The CBO reports that the Senate bill will force some middle class families to pay $15,200 on insurance annually. This is the kind of news that the people need to learn.

GLOBAL WARMING:

I never trust when some tyrant wannabee says the next 24 hours are crucial. This is a call to action for climate crook protesters for sure, but it's also an attempt to get the rest of us to let our guard down. It's an attempt to convince real scientists not speak up. It's an attempt to convince skeptical reporters to go home.
""We have no more time to lose," European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said in a press conference Wednesday, as he joined the talks."
50 days ago, Gordon Brown said we only had 50 days to save the world. Al Gore has set so many deadlines to save the world that have passed it's ridiculous. Do you think if this fails, they'll stand by their predictions, admit that they failed and nothing can be done to stop the destruction of the world, or will they just set new deadlines and try again? Here's the answer: Gore pushing to pass global warming legislation on April, 22 next year on Earth Day. Maybe it'll snow.

UN security guard pulls unplugs microphone from reporter asking Al Gore about climategate. It's never debate with leftists. It's always force.

100 facts that show that man-made CO2 does not cause meaningful climate change.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE:

Government labels 17 year old boy a sex offender for having sex with his 15 year old girlfriend.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

In another bait and switch, while the country is focused on health care (thank goodness Copenhagen hasn't distracted us too much), Democrats unveil plan to reward illegal immigrants with legal status after they pay a tiny tribute to the government.

POLITICS:

Americans souring on Democrats. Ya think? The reason this hasn't showed up in the polls is the people can't stand Republicans either. The two parties are crushing the life out of Americans and America. More people are against health care oppression than for it. The majority of Americans have realized that as bad as government has made our system today, Democrats would make it worse. About time this showed up in the polls. The longer the Republicans delay it, the more likely the people will kill it.
