Free kibbles

ECONOMY:

Interview with Peter Schiff about gold and the dollar. Schiff explains the stock market increase:
"Remember, there's an inverse relationship between the dollar and the price of everything, because as the dollar loses value, you need more dollars to buy anything. That's true for an ounce of gold, a barrel of oil, a bushel of wheat, or shares of stock. So you're always going to see prices rising as the dollar is falling. That's what's happening now."
Printing money inflates the bubble economy.

SOCIALISM:

Congress fasttracking legislation that would restrict GM's and Chysler's ability to close facilities. Politicians running companies for political instead of economic gain is the inevitable consequences of socialism. GM, Chrysler and every person in the US will suffer because of this.

Dictionary.com has an interesting definition of socialism I hadn't heard before:
"(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles."
Obama undoubtedly knows that definition. That sounds like what we're living.

TAX AND SPEND:

Graph shows stunning growth in government at all levels in the last few years. It begs the question of whether the GDP gains that officially the ended the recession are nothing but growth in government.

HEALTH CARE:

Heritage/Cato collaboration explains why the health care mandate is unconstitutional.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Those kind hearted souls who want to save the planet from humanity and carbon dioxide damage threw bricks and smashed windows to rally support for their cause in Copenhagen. No doubt these champions of the left will be held up as heroes for their bravery and wonderful intentions. The real goal of these protesters is to kill capitalism. That's what the whole fraud is about. Environmentalists and communists unite!

Our saving grace in Copenhagen may be that the merchantilists and the communists, both of which want the power of one world government, won't be able to reach an agreement. It seems to me that mercantilism and crony capitalism are synonyms, giving capitalism a bad name.

Great video shows just how tiny the little blip of global warming we experienced last century is relative to the last 1,000 through 10,000 years. It's almost unnoticeable on the 10,000 time scale, which, on average, were much warmer than today.

Met Office, the UK government's weather bureaucracy, is pressuring scientists to show support for CRU.
"One scientist said that he felt under pressure to sign the circular or risk losing work. The Met Office admitted that many of the signatories did not work on climate change."
Funding requests for climate scientists often require scientists show they support the global warming fraud to receive funding. If you support the fraud, you and your family are generously rewarded. If you don't, you and your kids can go hungry. It's that simple.

Solar magnetic activity reaches all time low in measured history. This does not bode well. Solar cycle 24, where are you?

In 2001 the IPCC published Mann's 1999 hockey stick graph.

Al Gore goes from $2 million to $100 million net worth between 2000 and 2008.

Anthony Watts's surface station survey.

Climategate likely an inside job, not a hacker.

"But the computer code is transparently fraudulent."

Google to market its own android phone. Woohoo! Andriod phones are kicking butt, and they're brand new. The next generation will dominate.
"According to the tweets, the phone is made by HTC, has a trackball and a high-resolution OLED display, and is "like an iPhone on beautifying steroids.""
I believe it.

WAR:

Ron Paul calls for withdrawal from Afghanistan.
"We need to remember that the attack on the United States on September 11, 2001 was, according to the 9/11 Commission Report, largely planned in the United States (and Germany) by terrorists who were in our country legally. According to the logic of those who endorse military action against Afghanistan because al-Qaeda was physically present, one could argue in favor of US airstrikes against several US states and Germany! It makes no sense. The Taliban allowed al-Qaeda to remain in Afghanistan because both had been engaged, with US assistance, in the insurgency against the Soviet occupation.

Nevertheless, the president’s National Security Advisor, Gen. James Jones, USMC (Ret.), said in a recent interview that less than 100 al-Qaeda remain in Afghanistan and that the chance they would reconstitute a significant presence there was slim. Are we to believe that 30,000 more troops are needed to defeat 100 al-Qaeda fighters? I fear that there will be increasing pressure for the US to invade Pakistan, to where many Taliban and al-Qaeda have escaped. Already CIA drone attacks on Pakistan have destabilized that country and have killed scores of innocents, producing strong anti-American feelings and calls for revenge. I do not see how that contributes to our national security."

We can't win a war by making enemies faster than we can defeat them. The hubris of our aristocrats after the Soviet debacle there is astounding.
