EDUCATION:
Voucher students in Dayton flock to Catholic schools. That's like saying people dying from thirst in the desert flock to oases. Duh. Dog bites man. This obvious information isn't news. The news is that people continue to send their children to government schools which continue to destroy their future and the future of our country.
MISC:
The Wall Street Journal reports on the tea party in Washington D.C. I wonder if any other major news outlets will. It looks like a pretty big crowd, though this video doesn't show it all.
This headline might as well read, Heisman candidate and leader of best college football team in the country beats the snot out of kindergartners. Why do people report the obvious like it's newsworthy?
On the anniversary of 9/11, Cato reprints essay reminding the American people that far and away the biggest failure on 9/11 was government. This essay excoriates calls for big government from the left and the right. Big government is not the solution to our security issues, it is the problem. Free people are the solution. Free people, born and raised understanding the unassailable fact that nobody can save you from attack but yourself, would have stopped the 9/11 terrorists with far fewer American lives lost. Anybody who would say otherwise is a self-serving fool who should immediately be shoveled into the dustbin of society. Hats off to Cato for making this case while the beasts of big government were trampling every freedom we hold dear. Includes passing references to predicted big government problems we're wrestling with today.

There were about 70,000 at the anti-everything protests on 9-12.
ReplyDelete2 million showed up for Obama's inauguration.
100,000 showed up for him alone on the campaign trail in St. Louis, 80,000 in Seattle.
These are not the numbers that the GOP was hoping for.
