Free kibbles

North Korea shows good signals to US. Let's all dance a jig. I'm sure North Korea really wants to give up its nuclear program and weapons this time. I'm sure NK won't pull out later and start firing missiles and testing nuclear bombs again. Like Albert Einstein said, it makes perfect sense to repeat the same actions over and over and expect a different result this time.

Switzerland agrees to turn over 4,450 names to the IRS for suspected tax evasion.

Ohioans buy a record amount of booze. I'm not surprised.

Coordinated attack kills at least 86 (I read 95 elsewhere) in Baghdad. So much for the claim that Americans were the cause of the violence in Iraq.

I've often pointed out that Democrats' health oppression plan begins as a fascist plan with the goal of transforming into a socialist plan. In Ludwig von Mises book on Socialism, Mises describes the problem with what he calls the German (yeah, Nazi German) program of "social insurance". It's obvious from Mises's discussion that the Nazi program is essentially the same as Obamacare. So Barney Frank, why do you insist on promoting a Nazi-style health oppression program? The questioner was right. Frank was wrong.

Obama threatens Senate procedural move that would bypass the filibuster possibility on health care. Anybody who thinks this is a bluff is ignorant. But Obama doesn't have the power to make this happen. Harry Reid is in trouble for reelection in 2010. If Reid thinks he can force this through on this procedural trick and still get re-elected, it'll happen. Remember when it was evil for Republicans to threaten to bypass the filibuster on judges? That was then. Now is Obama.

I don't think typing, or even spell check, is ruining my ability to spell. I think it improves my spelling because I see the words spelled correctly all the time now.

Hidden PayPal fees. Is everybody trying to rip us off? These fees are hidden because people don't like them.

Fran Tarkenton hates Favre too.
""I think he has been a great flamboyant quarterback, but he has made more stupid plays than any great quarterback that I've ever seen. Look at his final game in a Packers uniform. He blew that game [NFC championship] against the Giants," Tarkenton said in late May on KFAN-1130 in the Twin Cities."
I think Tarkenton is wrong to call Favre a great quarterback. ESPN and the NFL promote his positive statistics, but they hide is negative statistics. I know Favre has thrown more interceptions than any quarterback in history. I have no doubt Favre has lost more NFL games than any quarterback. I believe Favre lost more games for his team that should have been won than any quarterback in history by an outrageous margin. Favre is the poster child for the guy with all the talent in the world but who wouldn't control his ego for the benefit of his team. The Packers should have been a dynasty if not for Favre's ego. Favre should be the most derided quarterback in history. He exemplifies everything that is wrong with professional sports, and he should be held up for contempt for children learning the game.

More hooey. And since Isreal also has a single payer national health system, I suppose that, according to your logic, Israelis are nazis.

    Laughable.

  2. Single payer systems are socialist regardless of which country implements them.
