Free kibbles

Iranian President Ahmadinejad visits Baghdad.

Palestinian leader Abbas breaks contact with Israel because Israel is defending itself against Hamas. That's stupid. If Abbas really wants peace, he needs to recognize that Hamas is the enemy of peace and take action to disarm or destroy them. UN chief calls Israel's attacks disproportionate and excessive. Bull. There is no such thing as disproportionate response. Israel should not stop until Hamas is completely disarmed or destroyed. This isn't a parent scolding a child. This is a country protecting the lives of its citizens. If the Palestinians or Arab countries won't disarm Hamas, Israel has to do it themselves.

In a similar situation, Columbia attack FARC terrorists in Ecuador because Ecuador wouldn't disarm them. Columbia has the responsibility to protect its citizens, but now Chavez, who also allows FARC to operate in Venezuela, threatens war. Idiots.

Karl Rove understands that prematurely pulling out of Iraq will drive up oil prices significantly. So basically he's saying, now that we invaded, we're trapped into staying there. That's a good reason not to have invaded. How come he didn't use that wisdom to stop the invasion in the first place?

Hillary on SNL.

Michelle Obama is scared of Barack's Hussein Obama's middle name. If she's afraid of it, what does she expect from the rest of the country? She encourages her husband to feel, not think.

Police identify ricin man in Las Vegas.

Scientists produce large sheets of nanotubes.

Japan embraces robots to care for it's aging population.

Author hopes Britain's newfound pride inspired by Prince Harry's service in Afghanistan will lead to an improved British military. Me too.

Woman thinks women are kind of dim relative to men, and she thinks it's because of the differences in our brains because of evolutionary preferences. I bet the women on the Harvard staff are plotting to poison the author as I type.

Bernanke is caught between a recession and rising inflation.

Ahmadinejad goes to Iraq to promote Iran as a regional leader and to promote his own position in Iran.

George Will remembers William F. Buckley.

Excellent essay suggesting that Obama would be better off by embracing his full name. It points out the double-standard I'm sensing as well - it's OK for liberals to use Barack Hussein Obama's full name, but not for conservatives, because every time a conservative uses it, liberals instinctively brand them racists.

Essay illustrates the concerns of Americans if we have to exercise self-censorship of Obama's middle name. It's a dangerous precedent to have Americans afraid to mention a president's middle name, and Barack Obama should invite every American to embrace his name as he has.

What is Bloomberg doing writing an essay titled, "I'm not running for president, but..."? It seems a veiled threat to the candidates that he still might run to me.

George Will reports that McCain is tied up by his own campaign finance law, surrounded by the lobbyists he decries, and acting holier-than-thou about it all. That's the demeanor of a little would-be tyrant, imo.

Here's an article from the Cincinnati Enquirer that explains the fallout from Willie's remarks and McCain's repudiation. The opportunity for Barack Obama to embrace Willie and the conservatives of 3 states that McCain just repudiated, if he walks into Cunningham's studio tomorrow, shakes Willie's hand, and invites him and every American to use his full name whenever they want, is unbelievable.

Another person recognizes that the media sucks at covering the issues of the presidential campaign.
