I would like to thank the 2 parties and all the voters who voted for them for our impending financial doom. We've known for decades that our out of control spending was unsustainable. We've even knew to a good approximation when it would blow up in our faces, shortly after baby boomers started retiring. Yet for decades the 2 parties continued their out of control spending because voters kept voting for them. Thanks voters. Thanks 2 parties.

Treasury Sec. Paulson's answers to questions about the Bear Stearns bailout and the falling dollar sound Orwellian to me. Our policies are driving the dollar into the tank, yet Paulson has the temerity to talk about a strong dollar as our future? Not if we keep bailing out bad investors. This crap about strong long-term fundamentals is a flat out lie being perpetrated on us by both parties. We're facing the looming financial disaster that may destroy America for good, and we've know it was going to happen around this time for decades.

Now the Fed is expanding its role as lender of last resort to not only banks, but to Wall Street financial companies as well. Here we go again. The government creates problems by taking power from the people, as the Fed created this one by holding interest rates artificially low, then it takes more power for itself to fix the problems it created.
