Free kibbles

Congress files contempt of Congress lawsuit against ex-presidential aids Miers and Bolton because Bush invoked presidential privilege to keep them from testifying in the fired attorneys non-issue. This Congress is the most useless, partisan, wasteful Congress I've ever seen. They're fighting to insure our troops loose the war in Iraq and fighting over some non-issue of firing attorneys who served at the pleasure of the president anyway. He can fire them because he doesn't like their hair if he wants.

Busted Gov. Spitzer's lawyer wonders if he was set up. I don't care. Spitzer is just another corrupt politician like all the rest, and trying to shift the blame can't change that. Spitzer considering resignation. Considering? Why hasn't he resigned and climbed under a rock and disappeared forever already? As usual, Democrats, most notably the Clintons, don't just resign. They continue their corruption even after they're busted, and act all self-righteous about it. I hope this crook gets run out of Albany on rails. Impeachment threat. Reason explains why Spitzer's hypocrisy is even worse than we think.

Slate analyzes the website of the escort service. Article explains how Spitzer was hoisted on his own petard. He applied unusually severe laws in his prosecutions, criminalizing normal, accepted behavior, and the same happened to him in return. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Slate tries to explain why prostitution is illegal. Needless to say, the arguments are specious.

God forbid that Americans find the next marijuana. We can't allow them to have fun, can we? States banning plant that has been around for as long as man has been in North America. Dumbest quote:
"I got some hostile e-mails from people who sold these products," Strain said. "You don't make everybody happy when you outlaw drugs. You save one child and it's worth it."
How stupid is that logic? I guess ban swimming pools, trees, oceans, cliffs, cars and everything else that might kill a kid. With that kind of logic, maybe this lawmaker should pass a law forcing every child to live in a plastic bubble until their 18th birthday.

Corrected equations show that runaway greenhouse effect is impossible on earth, leading to models that correlate much more accurately with observations on both Earth and Mars. NASA refuses to accept new equations, which would certainly cause a tremendous reduction in the over $5 billion spent promoting the global warming fraud.

Centcom com commander Admiral Fallon resigns after magazine article in which he criticizes Bush police toward Iran. Fallon and Petraeus also butted heads. Cheney in the Middle East. Sounds related to me.

Fiscal conservative, there are 4 or 5 left in Congress, highlights the 3 worst recent Congressional bills.

The media has worked hard to convince the public that the pharmaceutical companies are in bed with Republicans, but that's bull. The pharmaceutical companies are in bed with whichever party can help them most, like every other corporation. There is no difference between the 2 parties when it comes to corporate support. Only with union support, which is almost all Democrat.

Obama refutes Hillary's claims of experience. It's about time. Why has he allowed her to promote that fiction unchallenged for so long?

Geraldine Ferraro's statement that Obama wouldn't be in this position if he was white is 100% accurate. He would have never raised a dime if he was white. But her comment that the press dislikes Hillary because she's a woman is ridiculous. Hillary gets fawning press too, just not as fawning as Obama, because America is more obsessed with race than with sex. Hillary wouldn't be where she is if she hadn't ridden Bill's coattails. Ferraro forgot to mention that. This is another example of how tribalism and identity politics is hurting Democrats. Ferraro can't see the reality around Clinton because she identifies with the woman, but she can see the reality around Obama because she doesn't identify with him. Democrats should try thinking and reasoning instead feeling and identifying for a change.

Obama and Hillary are jumping on the anti-pork (bribe) bandwagon to limit the damage McCain and do to them on the issue.

I bet McCain would make Lieberman Secretary of Defense.

Phony environmentalists are using polar bears to make a legal precedent about global warming. They don't care that there are plenty of polar bears, and their numbers are growing.

Democrats want soldiers overseas to vote in their primary, but they tried to exclude their votes in Florida in 2000.

House Democrats support lawsuits against telecoms who assisted the government in fighting the war on terror. This won't stand. If Democrats got their way, no president would ever be able to eavesdrop on the enemy. Democrats are playing politics with our ability to win wars.

Obama beats Clinton in Mississippi, winning 6 delegates to her 5. CNN is reporting Obama won 17 to Hillary's 11. How can these articles be so different? CNN also reports the Texas caucus has finally been counted, over a week later, and Obama picked up 38 to Clinton's 29. The original article has been changed and doesn't even discuss Mississippi delegates. Nice job, Reuters.
