Free kibbles

Horrendous US incarceration rate leads to soaring profits for prison supply companies.

NSA data mining transactional information from email, phone calls, web searches, bank transfers, credit card transactions, and travel. Since none of this information is private, that makes sense. But actually intercepting communication with a warrant bases solely on the result of this data mining is scary. The president should have to OK each warrantless intercept, not a computer. You can't impeach a computer programmer for abusing power.

Vancouver police document using tasers on unarmed and unthreatening people. I think that's true of about every police force.

Suicide bomber kills 5 US troops in Baghdad. Iraq war to cost $12 billion a month. Wow. Where's that Iraqi oil money that was supposed to pay for the costs?

Hamas stops attacking Israel and Israel stops retaliating. Even Hamas responds to overwhelming force.

US to help modernize Polish military in missile defense deal. Russia is not happy.

Democrats consider mail-in revote for Michigan and Florida. Reason on the mess. I saw a Democrat on TV yesterday trying to blame Republicans for the Democrats' mess in Florida.

Clinton suggests that delegates Obama won should vote for her anyway. The Clintons will not die, kind of like a horror movie monster. I think the monster analogy is informative and apt. Proving Hillary is just dangling the Obama as VP idea to pull in votes from his supporters, she declares he must pass national security test to become her VP. Boortz sees through her charade. Hillary will say, do, bully, con, cheat or steal anything to win this election. Obama sees through it too, and tells his supporters they have to choose, they don't get both. Says Hillary is trying to "hoodwink" voters.

Mickey Kaus highlights McCain's debate tactic of bullying his opponent when he doesn't have a good answer for a question.

Ron Paul scales down but does not drop his candidacy.

Passive camera can see through clothes, but doesn't see anatomical detail.

SNL spoofs Hillary's 3am ad.

Drugs in drinking water, but not enough to get you high.

Vatican lists new sins including pollution. I'm sure the devil is pleased.

Cato explains that California's ban on homeschooling goes against American tradition and what made America great, as well as undermines the quality of the education of our children in a government monopoly on education.

Cato explains that Zimbabwe's new law forcing all businesses to sell majority stakes to local, black owners is another step toward economic suicide. Mugabe's socialism is destroying what was arguably the most promising country in Africa.

Government mismanagement is responsible for security delays at airports.

Government indoctrination on the 2nd amendment.

Boortz reports on a California bill that removes the prohibition on teacher from teaching that communism is cool and for using school property to promote communism.

Police officers, at the advice of their union, refuse to pay speeding tickets. This just goes show the dangerous institutionalized mentality of police officers that they are above the law. This is a nationwide problem.

In typically insensitive Boortz fashion, he highlights how welfare changes the behavior of people, and animals, in ways that are not in their best interests.

British authorities are going to put a series of cameras on roadways to access average speed. Government just hates when 1 of its subjects does not conform to its authority. This is the kind of government liberals want the US to emulate, so you can bet this will be coming to our shores shortly.

British citizens harass troops to the point where commanders tell them not to wear uniforms off base. Those harassers should also volunteer to be the victims of the next terrorist attack.

Minnesota school that issued fatwa barring Muslim taxi drivers from picking up passengers with alcohol is a taxpayer funded school.

The Monday after daylight saving time is worst for car crashes.

Boy receives detention for wearing patriotic shirt with gun image.

Interview with John Adams author about upcoming HBO series.

Montana makes not-so-veiled succession threat if the Supreme Court doesn't confirm that the right to keep and bear arms enumerated in the Second Amendment is an individual right. Obviously Montana is right, but I'm not sure of the point of such a veiled threat. It won't affect the Supreme Court. It might be very useful to have public secession legal battle based on the abuse of the Constitution by the federal government. It might wake a somnolent people to the Constitution and the dangers of unconstitutional government.

Good summary of the very recent discoveries contradicting the great global warming con.

9 priorities for Obama's agenda.

Despite 1 in 99 Americans and 1 in 9 black men between the ages of 20 and 34 being in jail, Mukasey is pushing for stronger sentencing guidelines for crack cocaine offenses. Our politicians won't be happy until we're all locked up.

McCain and McConnell battle over earmarks, and Democrats may take charge and call for a 1 year moratorium on earmarks before Republicans. I bet that would cost Republicans 20 seats in the house and give the Democrats a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. This battle of earmarks is the height of absurdity. The rhetoric versus the illegal machinations to hide them illustrate just how corrupt our entire government has become. We should stop calling them earmarks and call them what they are - bribes. They are for buying votes and campaign contributions.

Illustration of how media bias and professional threats keep the public from hearing from climate skeptics.
