Free kibbles

Spitzer resigned. I doubt prosecutors made him a deal yet. He must have been afraid of being impeached. The US Attorney just reported they have no deal with Spitzer at this time. The only thing this hypocrite is sorry about is getting caught. Assuming she wasn't aware he was doing this, his wife should divorce his sanctimonious ass and take him multiple-millions. Republicans were going to start impeachment proceedings tomorrow. Reports are he had spent upwards of $80,000 on hookers up to 10 years. List of laws Spitzer broke. This is ridiculous. This shows how criminalization is spiraling out of control. No wonder 1 out of 99 Americans is in jail. He just hired prostitutes, and Americans would be better served if the law was that simple. (Even better if it wasn't illegal.) Pictures of the prostitute.

Article explains that Adm. Fallon sealed his own fate by publicly pushing policy counter to the administration's. In the US, civilians make military policy. Commanders present their opinions on the policy in private. We cannot allow military commanders to publicly push policy contrary to administration policy. The professionals should not cross that line. The article highlights the distinction between Fallon and Gen. Shinseki. And Bush's legacy is tied up in Iraq with Gen. Petraeus. Fallon made a bad career decision to publicly go against that policy. Cato gets it right. While they agree with Fallon's positions on the policy, they explain that a military commander can't undermine the policies of the civilian leadership.

Bush promises to veto (un)Fairness Doctrine. There are 300 million competing ideologies in America, and it would really hard for every radio station to give equal time to each 1. Any law that tries to pretend there are only 2 ideologies is simply an attack on free speech. The free market better determine what content is broadcast on radio stations, not government.

Baptist leaders trying to convince indoctrinate their flock in the great global warming fraud. How very liberal of them. Leaders of all ideologies hate it when people think for themselves.

Belgium imprisons parents because they failed to vaccinate their children against polio. I wasn't aware polio was creating this kind of crisis. Imagine if we imprisoned every parent who made a bad decision.

Congratulations to this British court for dismissing this littering case against a smoker.

Taliban attacks mobile phone masts to get them shut down at night.

A poor woman who was locked up in a courthouse cell waiting an illegal immigration hearing was forgotten for 4 days during the snowstorm. Fortunately she's OK.

GoDaddy shuts down RateMyCop.com.

Gates blames outsourcing on tight immigration laws. That's an exaggeration, but he has a point. Our immigration laws limit the number of highly educated people that can come work in America, and that's stupid. Our immigration laws should upgrade our country. We should prefer educated to uneducated, and we should erase Ted Kennedy and the Democrat quotas. What's the deal with Democrats and anti-freedom quotas anyway?

Reason explains the 3 reasons why oil and gas prices are rising even though supply is increasing faster than demand.

As predicted, somebody filed a court case questioning McCain's citizenship. Born in the US Panama Canal Zone, McCain's citizenship will be confirmed.

Florida's House members oppose a revote but want delegates seated. This a fancy of way of saying they want Hillary's cheating in Florida to stand.. She's twisting arms and making progress despite losing 2 more states.

Clinton and Obama try to take advantage of Geraldine Ferraro's remarks. Mickey Kaus analyzes Geraldine Ferraro's remarks about Obama being where he is because he's black, and Obama's response. More from Amanda Carpenter.

Spitzer's troubles may reflect on Clinton. He had been a pledged superdelegate for her.

Air Force Cyber-Command General answers questions from Slashdot.

Boortz provides statistics to show that the poor are becoming more wealthy like everybody else.

Boortz reports that the price of beef is falling because people are dumping cattle in favor of growing corn for ethanol. Beef prices will rise sharply soon.

Al Qaeda is angry that the Taliban is not extreme enough. This is funny in a dangerously perverse way. It actually reminds me of B movie villains who are so evil they can't work with other evil villains, and that fatal flaw allows the good guys to win. But these evil villains are real. Mullah Omar has to show support for Iran because Iran is providing funds and Chinese weapons to the Taliban.

Instructions for media jihad.

Newsbusters highlights ABC's political sex scandal summary, noting that Republicans are prominently and immediately identified as such and Democrats are not.

Colorado considers bill making child rape a capital crime. Assuming this applies only to violent crimes and the qualifications listed in the article are applied - 2nd offense, DNA, and victim under 12, I support that.

Do you want a terrorist in your bath? Bath bombs contain photo of Guantanamo prisoner.

John Stossel illustrates how insane our sex crime laws are. Obviously we should have strict penalties for real sex crimes (see above), but draconian punishment of non-crimes is ridiculous.

Somebody besides me has noticed that Obama's wife looks like she's trying to follow Hillary's path to the White House for herself. If Obama wins, I bet his wife gets a security clearance and attends foreign policy meetings to give her the resume bullet Hillary is falsely claiming.

Michelle Malkin says the bombing of the Time Square military recruitment office isn't an isolated incident but the predictable next step in escalating attacks on military recruitment by (not)peaceful leftists.

Jonah Goldberg thinks liberals should learn to talk about their patriotism.

The Christian Coalition supports FCC regulation of the internet. This is conservative socialism, and it's just as bad as liberal socialism. The end result is both liberal and conservative activists will hijack the FCC rules to effectively or outright ban information on the internet and transfer the power to choose from parents and businesses in a free market to government.

The AFL-CIO will spend $53 million against John McCain in union workplaces. Wow. That's why we need to get corporations, unions, and other non-individuals out of politics.

Austin Bay explains how we are systematically defeating al Qaeda, and fears that withdrawal ala Obama or Clinton would give al Qaeda a much needed success in Iraq.

Walter Williams shows all the reasons why ethanol subsidies are bad for Americans and everybody.

Thomas Sowell cuts through the bull and shows that Spitzer's actions were not out of character, but exactly what you would expect from a tin-plated tyrant like Spitzer. Character matters, and Spitzer had bad character. It's nice to see somebody else point that out. I don't understand Sowell's singling out of Obama when we have such much more evidence of Hillary's terrible character than Obama's.

Prominent liberal writer David Mamet renounces his ways for classic liberalism. There's still hope. If we can make liberals think, reason and evaluate consequences instead of feeling, reacting, and caring only about motives, we can take this country back for freedom.
