Free kibbles

Intelligence agencies to read email and searches. I've been under the impression that the NSA monitored every email since the 90s. I'm not aware of the government monitoring searches.

MI5 fears that 1,500 white Britons have converted to Islam to help fund and implement terrorist attacks for al Qaeda. Yikes.

St. Paul Minnesota bans sugar gliders. I think governments just draw nouns out of a hat to figure out what to ban each week to exercise the unlimited power we've surrendered to them.

I don't have a problem with chipping prisoners as long as the chip is removed when they're released.

The weak dollar sparks record tourism to New York. Isn't that one of the characteristics of a banana republic? Tourists flock there because it's cheap? This is a poor consolation prize for losing our freedom, wealth, security, and greatness.

Russia and UK in another diplomatic spat stemming from the polonium-210 murder of Alexander Litvinenko.

New study says Antarctica is losing ice. But we've plenty of these studies that focus on only 1 small area of Antarctica to make this claim. Overall, Antarctica's ice is increasing.

Slate rips the Times piece on meth-laced Ecstasy.

Celebrities taking steroids too.

Iranians make a movie about Jesus.

Reason on the budget crisis and the failure of the candidates from both parties to address it.

It's no wonder that Reagan's coalition is breaking up. Look at the candidates. Other than Ron Paul, and possibly Fred Thompson who still isn't very clear, there's not a small government conservative in the mix. It's a bunch of war-mongers, nanny-staters, and all-around authoritarians. Just like the Democrats.

Republican voters are moving to McCain even though he supports rewarding illegal aliens with legal status, he wants to jail Americans who express their freedom of speech in TV commercials 60 days before an election, and he think sending US troops all over the world is the primary solution to terrorism. McCain does not support reducing the size and scope of government (though he makes lots of noise about earmarks - a tiny fraction of government expenditures) or reducing taxes. John McCain is an authoritarian and statist rivaled only by Hillary Clinton in this campaign. Conservatives are showing their true colors once again.

Huckabee preaching again. I hope he doesn't win. McCain and Huckabee are starting to make Romney and Giuliani look good by comparison. Fred Thompson should have mixed it up with these guys months ago.

Clinton and Obama spar about race. Democrats have managed to split their party along racial lines. Hopefully blacks will figure out that the Democrats platform is designed to make them a permanent underclass. Freedom and equality will allow them to prosper, not special rights.

Clintons call on Chelsea to help save Hillary's campaign.

I don't believe this story. 3 year old girls hitting puberty.

Grocery carts will broadcast video ads. Lovely.

When people are willing to pay what it costs to extract helium from natural gas, we'll produce more helium.

Cato highlights China's problems with land being taken from farmers because they have no private property rights.

List of Hillary's tall tales.

Germany is failing to teach students about the horrors of the Holocaust because Muslims don't like it. This is a scary development.
