Free kibbles

Iran accuses US of faking fast boat threat video. Iran is playing everybody for fools, and we're just falling all over ourselves to be the biggest fool.

The Dallas Morning News names an illegal alien as the Texas man of the year. I hope subscribers to the newspaper express themselves about the opinion.

Gold pushes $900 per ounce.

School suspends students for not getting hair cut.

Schwarzenegger wants a constitutional amendment to give him more power over the state's government. It must be tough to have to work in a representative government, eh Arnold? This is the guy conservatives want to amend the Constitution to allow to run for president. Pfft.

Survey shows nearly half of US diplomats oppose Bush Iraq policy. So what? They don't set policy. It's their job to implement the policy of our elected officials. This is another symptom of all that's wrong with our big, unaccountable government.

US soldier charged with war crimes for shooting Iraqi civilians. These charges are notable because they're incredibly rare, and the US military punishes the guilty.

Reason points out that the NBA and NFL discourage legal gun ownership. That's none of their business.

Reason reports that evolution matters in politics. No doubt. Anybody who would dismiss the overwhelming evidence for evolution for the misguided reason that they think the theory of evolution is incompatible with God (it's not) does not deserve a single vote. Being religious is not an excuse to be ignorant.

An argument for rotating the order of the candidates on the ballot by precinct, or even in ballots at the same precinct. I think every ballot I've ever cast has had the Democrats before the Republicans.

Micky Kaus has 4 theories why New Hampshire was such a surprise.

Reason provides a depressingly honest look at Ron Paul's poor performance in New Hampshire compared to expectations.

Apparently crying is Hillary's secret weapon to get women to vote for her. Expect to see Hillary cry a lot more in the future. Also expect it to backfire on her.

Doctors prescription of antibiotics is fueling the creation of superbugs. Duh. We predicted this in the 70s, but we still did it. I guess doctors are as dumb as everybody else.

Cato doesn't approve of Clinton or McCain.

Cato keeps advocating the US talk to Iran because it's working with North Korea. Maybe they haven't noticed that North Korea has renigged on the deal, as many predicted.

Boortz busts Kucinich for his failure to understand who earns and pays our taxes.

Columbia University professors travel to Tehran to apologize to Ahmadinejad for their president's rude introduction. Talk about shoveling worse manure after bad.

Boorts tells us that government involvement in health care is leading to higher prices. Maybe he started reading this blog. This has been true since government first stuck it's big nose in the health care business back in 1943.

British judge reprimanded for forcing Muslim woman to testify without veil. This is bull****. The accused and the state has a right to examine witnesses, and those witnesses cannot be allowed to hide their faces since non-verbal communication is crucial to communication.

Easing gun control in Michigan reduced violence. This is no surprise to anybody with a brain.

Hillary Clinton suggests that al Qaeda wants Barack Obama to win the election. We all know that Democrats and al Qaeda agree on US politics in general - they both want the US to end the war on terror and the war in Iraq, but to suggest that al Qaeda prefers Obama to Hillary is absurd.

Maybe Boortz is finally recognizing that Huckabee is a dangerous loser. He identified Huckabee's flip-flop on birthright citizenship.

How can anybody object to showing ID to vote? I keep hearing Democrat arguments that poor people (who vote Democrat, apparently so they can remain poor) don't have ID. Who's fault is that? Poor people can get ID just like everybody else. These attacks on voter ID requirements are crap. Only American citizens are allowed to vote, and showing ID to insure that happens guarantees our rights as self-governing citizens. We have 12 to 20 (or more) illegal aliens in this country who would love, if unchecked, to flood the polls and vote themselves more benefits.

Portland resident harassed for not voting for Hillary in New Hampshire.
