Free kibbles

Merril Lynch says the US is in a recession, but others disagree. We're in a recession that is being hidden by an abundance of money, but taking the devaluation of the currency into account, it's pretty obvious.

School plans to put tracking chips on students' backpacks. "Parents could opt out of the program." This is bull**** and bass ackwards. The government has no business putting tracking systems on anybody. It's bad enough parents are considering this, but we can never government to have this power. What an incredibly horrible precedent this would set.

Drudge is reporting that Democrats have turned out in epic numbers, causing poling places to run out of ballots.

Bhutto's son to finish studies at Oxford before taking over his mother's party in Pakistan. His father will lead the party in the mean time. This family's greatest claim to fame is their horrendous corruption, but the people of Pakistan continue to want them as leaders. At least in America, it looks like even liberals are rejecting the corrupt Clintons once and for all.

Taliban leader claims to have purchased his freedom from Afghan authorities with a bribe.

This isn't the first time we've heard of a rift between Ahmadinejad and Khamenei.

Mass SQL attack hacks 90,000 servers. I bet the Chinese are watching.

If the Russians start a race to put a man on Mars, maybe this country will wake up and focus on achievement again.

The Justice Dept. is investigating the Port of Seattle for wasting $97.2 million of taxpayer funds. They should investigate every government agency for the same.

Watchdog organization accuses Dem. Senator of taking bribes. If our Justice Dept. would investigate Congress, it would show that 90% of both parties sell their votes (take bribes). This is the norm, not the exception, and neither party will do anything about it because both parties are so corrupt.

McCain should be defeated for supporting rewarding illegal aliens with legal status.

Associated Press article mentions Ron Paul in Wyoming. Foxnews edited the article to remove the reference to Ron Paul visiting Wyoming. That's not just bias. That's a personal attack. Reported here.

Reason describes the mush of Barack Obama. Apparently empty platitudes can take a person a long way.

Author points out what I noted yesterday - being black is an advantage for Obama. The attacks on white America are so out of control that New Jersey apologizes for slavery. Slavery ended over 143 years ago, but race-baiters keep it alive today. This appeasement won't stop the race-baiters from going after New Jersey for ever more concessions. NBC admits it's hard (impossible for the mainstream media) to stay objective about Obama.

Obama pulls even with Clinton in national polls. It's funny to see Bill Clinton on the other side of the press' fawning bias for Obama. When the press was covering up and downplaying his corruption at the expense of the nation, he loved it. But now that they're fawning over Obama and making him look good at the Clintons' expense, he hates it.

The new growth sector in the semiconductor/computer/network/software business is in hand-held internet applications.

Cato pans No Child Left Behind. We should abolish the Department of Education, not just No Child Left Behind.

Cato is against a national voter ID law. This should be left to the states. But the feds should aggressively investigate voter fraud.

Imprisoned sex offenders still manage to get child porn.

Dr. Hillcare doll.

Thomas Sowell calls John McCain a loose cannon. Nice double-entendre.

Dick Armey really does not like Mike Huckabee. From a pol, this is a scathing attack.

Here's an excellent example of just how wrong polls are. Whenever they say the margin of error is a couple of percent, they're misinforming the public. That error rate can't and therefore doesn't even attempt to take into account all the errors in the assumptions of the pollsters, and reporters do a great disservice to the American people when they refuse to point this out every time they report a poll. The RCP New Hampshire poll average for today for Democrats shows Obama leading Clinton 38.3% to 30%. The average for Republicans shows McCain leading Romney 31.8% to 28.2%. Right now the New Hampshire results with 91% of the precincts reporting, Clinton leads Obama 39% to 36% and McCain leads Romney 37% to 32%. So Clinton's poll numbers were off by 9%, McCain's by 5%, and Romney's by 4%.

Ralph Peters agrees with me about our navy failing to sink those Iranian fast boats that threatened them. He rips our politicians, the intelligence agencies, the Bush Administration and the navy as he explains the consequences of failing to sink them.

I've long pointed out that fascism is a left-wing ideology, another form of socialism, and that Roosevelt employed it in the New Deal, but needless to say, liberals won't let facts interfere with their religious beliefs.

Pat Buchanan brings up the mythical level playing field in an obvious slap at the FairTax. It's funny that he does it in the same paragraph when he mentions VAT taxes, which the FairTax is designed to improve upon.
