Free kibbles

Texas science director forced to step down because she expressed the opinion that evolution was a superior theory to intelligent design. That's because ID is not a scientific theory, it's a religious belief that can never be disproved, so there's nothing scientific about it. It has no place in a science class.

Chavez threatens to cut off Venezuelan oil to the US.

Turkish troops fire on PKK in Iraq.

Al Qaeda kills 14 Iraqis. They are not defeated yet. I hope American troops track them down and capture or kill them.

Hope for a pardon for teddy bear teacher who is threatened with execution by a 10,000 strong mob.

Liberal criticizes the FairTax for it's complexity (patently absurd when compared to the income tax) and says the rich will pay less. He doesn't explain why he thinks that so I can't refute his argument. I see no reason to think the rich will pay less. Poor people will pay nothing at all or actually get money from the government every month. How is that paying more?

Reason says Putin and Chavez' elections signal a return to the Cold War era. They're a little late because China and Russia are already waging a Cold War of Terror using their proxies North Korea, Iran, Syria and Venezuela against us.

Slate is impressed with the Rolling Stones article explaining how we lost the War on Drugs.

ABC news to air program on drug addicted soldiers. Anybody want to bet they will grossly exaggerate the problem?

Gushing article calls Hillary Clinton "regal" after the hostage crisis at one of her campaign offices. Maybe the AP wants Hillary to be coronated as queen instead of simply elected president.

Michael Savage sues CAIR for being a political arm of terrorists trying to shut down anti-terrorist speech.

No wonder the Democrat Congress can't get anything done. So far, the White House has sent a record 1 million documents to Congress for their wasteful investigations of made-up controversies.

Author claims Ron Paul's support is not a libertarian movement in the Republican party, but the result of anti-war populism. I'm afraid that's true too, but the more Paul gets his entire message out, the more people become aware of the problems of titanic government, so it's a still a benefit, even though I'd prefer Paul's success to be about domestic policy.

Article reports that Huckabee raised taxes in Arkansas more than Bill Clinton.

How cynical do you have to be to judge the political winners and losers in the campaign office hostage crisis? Hillary takes advantage to appear "presidential".

Researchers identify skin-aging reversal gene.

Perl on Rails.

Mikhail Gorbachev supports Putin. The left loved Gorbachev, but for no good reason. He is and always has been an enemy of freedom. That's why Yeltsin had to remove him by force.

Native Americans using court to seek veto power over development on federal land.

Mike Adams reports that Kent State fires the chair of the history department that employs Julio Pino even though he publicly advocates mass murder of Jews and Americans. They did not fire Pino himself.

Victor Davis Hanson provides the roadmap for how the Democrats got themselves into their dilemma on Iraq and wonders if the public will give them a pass when they change their positions for a third time.

Author compares Rudy Giuliani's sleaze to Bill Clinton's. Ouch.

Michelle Malkin identifies 7 Democrat activist plants in the CNN/YouTube debate.

Because Fred Thompson has bucked the system, nobody is listening to him. This shows the kingmaker power of the press. If you don't play by the press' rules, you won't get the coverage, and you won't get your message to the people.

Jason Whitlock doesn't pull any punches about black on black crime and the culture that spawns it. Inspired by the slaying of Sean Taylor. This is a powerful essay. Some facts on those arrested for the murder.

This essay lays out the stakes in the global warming fraud - Al Gore and his con men have the goal to forever discredit the free market system so that elites like Gore can rule the rest of us forever. The great global warming con is nothing less than an attempt to Sovietize the entire world. I keep saying this is the most dangerous ideology since communism, and I thank the Guardian for finally admitting the real goal behind this giant, most dangerous, fraud. These people think the Soviets had the right idea, they just implemented it badly.
The problem of climate change involves a fundamental failure of markets: those who damage others by emitting greenhouse gases generally do not pay. Climate change is a result of the greatest market failure the world has seen.
