Police State

The US police state is so out of control, it's spawned a market for hidden handcuff keys.

Cops shoot another person mistaken for Dorner.
"David Perdue was on his way to sneak in some surfing before work Thursday morning when police flagged him down. They asked who he was and where he was headed, then sent him on his way.
Seconds later, Perdue's attorney said, a Torrance police cruiser slammed into his pickup and officers opened fire; none of the bullets struck Perdue."
This is insane.
"His pickup, police later explained, matched the description of the one belonging to Christopher Jordan Dorner — the ex-cop who has evaded authorities after allegedly killing three and wounding two more. But the pickups were different makes and colors. And Perdue looks nothing like Dorner: He's several inches shorter and about a hundred pounds lighter. And Perdue is white; Dorner is black.
"I don't want to use the word buffoonery but it really is unbridled police lawlessness," said Robert Sheahen, Perdue's attorney. "These people need training and they need restraint.""
Buffoonery tends to be funny. This is not funny.
"In Perdue's case, his attorney said he wasn't struck by bullets or glass but was injured in the car wreck, suffering a concussion and an injury to his shoulder. The LAX baggage handler hasn't been able to work since, and his car is totaled, Sheahen said.
"When Torrance issues this ridiculous statement saying he wasn't injured, all they mean is he wasn't killed," his attorney said, referring to a press release reporting "no visible injuries" to Perdue."
Nothing like lying to cover it up.
"Connie Rice, a civil rights attorney, said it's not surprising when police make mistakes during manhunts.
"They don't know where he is, and they're going to be edgy and jumpy," she said. "Don't get in their way. They're in a special state of consciousness right now, and they're not used to being hunted.""
So much for protect and serve.

California residents write "Not Chris Dorner" on their shirts so the cops won't shoot them. The police keep talking about public safety, but that's not their concern.

About Dorner's manifesto.
"When institutions and organizations break down, become corrupt, become rotten, and overstep their proper bounds, injustices proliferate. When the society fails to correct the problems, they fester. People get screwed. Sooner or later, there is blowback. There can be riots, killings, mayhem, sit-ins, ... You name it. The same phenomena occur internationally. When a country oversteps its proper bounds in some foreign lands, there are consequences."
That's a great quote.

Media distortion of Dorner's manifesto.

Shortly after the police ordered the media helicopters away so they could assault Dorner's cabin in Big Bear, a single shot was heard and the cabin erupted in fire. Isn't that convenient. Now he'll never get to testify at a trial.
"TV helicopters showed the fire burning freely with no apparent effort to extinguish it."
And...
""Enough is enough. It's time for you to turn yourself in. It's time to stop the bloodshed," LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said earlier in the day at a news conference held outside police headquarters in Los Angeles, a starkly different atmosphere than last week when officials briefed the news media under tight security with Dorner on the loose."
That's suspicious.
"Dorner's anger with the department dated back at least five years, when he was fired for filing a false report accusing his training officer of kicking a mentally ill suspect. Dorner, who is black, claimed in the rant that he was the subject of racism by the department and fired for doing the right thing."
It's about time somebody printed that. Body found.
"A source told the Associated Press that a charred body was found in rubble of the cabin.  Sources told KTTV that the body appeared to be Dorner, but there was no official confirmation."
It's all very convenient for LAPD.
"It was not clear who set the fire in the Big Bear community where Dorner apparently has been hiding since sometime last week."
At least the press isn't rushing to report Dorner set the fire himself.
"San Bernardino Sheriff Spokesperson Cindy Bachman told reporters that they will not enter the structure until it is safe to do so."
If they haven't entered the cabin, how can they know there's a charred body that appears to be Dorner? So they were searching door to door and stopping and searching cars without warrants. It's crazy how much this assault sounds like Waco.
"SWAT teams later fired tear gas and stormed the cabin. TV footage showed the structure in flames for more than 90 minutes."
"Citing an unidentified source, the Los Angeles Times reports that officers heard a single gunshot as a police vehicle tore down the cabin's walls. Flames then began spreading, followed by gunshots -- apparently ammunition ignited by the fire."
"Before the fire, SWAT officers had been firing tear gas inside the cabin as part of a "tactical operation." No gunfire has been heard since the structure went up in flames shortly after 4 p.m. PT. It was still burning 90 minutes later, and authorities made no attempt to extinguish the flames.
"We won't allow them (firefighters) to get close to the cabin,'' said Cindy Bachman, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. "It's just not safe.''"
All that stuff happened at Waco. The cops had all the time in the world to wait Dorner out and take him alive. They didn't want to take him alive. The same was true at Waco.

Errors in the ATF investigation and warrants for the Branch Davidians in Waco.
