Health Care

Why in the world would the "experts" have thought soup was invented only 5,000 years ago? They suddenly discovered soup is older. I bet soup is as old as control of fire.
"It now looks like waterproof and heatproof containers were invented much earlier than previously thought. Harvard University archaeologist Ofer Bar-Yosef and colleagues reported last year in Science on their finding of 20,000-year-old pottery from a cave in China. "When you look at the pots, you can see that they were in a fire," Bar-Yosef says."
You don't need clay pots to resist fire. Wood and reeds soaked in water resist fire. Reeds may leak, but water can be added while soup is cooking.
"But Speth says boiling, and soup, could be even older.
He started thinking about ancient boiling after watching an episode of the television show "Survivorman," in which host Les Stroud boils water in a plastic container. "You can boil without using heated stones," Speth realized. All you need is a waterproof container suspended over a fire — the water inside keeps the material from burning."
Exactly.
"Putting a date on the world's first bowl of soup is probably impossible. Anthropologists haven't been able to determine for certain when man was first able to control fire, or when cooking itself was invented (though it was likely more than 300,000 years ago, before Homo sapiens first emerged, Harvard primatologist Richard Wrangham says in his book Catching Fire)."
Don't trust the "experts".

Now the CDC wants to vaccinate every pregnant woman against whooping cough because 5-30 children die from it every year.
"The Tdap vaccine is a combination vaccine that is supposed to protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. Does the Tdap vaccine protect against pertussis? The answer is probably yes. What do I mean by probably?  There have not been definitive studies on the efficacy and safety of this vaccine. There is no question that the incidence of pertussis has declined over the last 70 years. However, the CDC’s data shows that the pertussis illness was declining well before the onset of the vaccine.(1) "
No thanks.

More on the connection between Big Pharma and mass murderers.
"I find it interesting that random mass murders were never an issue up until the last 20 years or so – roughly coincidental with a substantial portion of the US population, especially kids, being put on meds for all kinds of imaginary psychological disorders... things that used to be considered just part of life."
I wonder if statistics back up the 20 year claim.  More.
