Free kibbles

ECONOMY:

I'm sure the politicians, pundits and investment advisers were saying the same thing in 1930 as they're saying today.

I love the word Obamageddon. Obama probably loves it too.
"Here we are in 2012. Food riots, tax protests, farmer rebellions, student revolts, squatter diggins, homeless uprisings, tent cities, ghost malls, general strikes, bossnappings, kidnappings, industrial saboteurs, gang warfare, mob rule, terror."
This is what Obama is working toward - the complete collapse of American society. He thinks he'll lead a Marxist revolution in this environment. Obama has to be hoping that this will occur before the 2012 elections. It's his only hope to stay in power. But when the collapse happens, Obama won't be its leader. He'll be its target. Of course this is the reason he's trying to build a personal security force using our tax dollars. The people will reestablish a government similar to the one specified in the Constitution, but the new Constitution will be much more clear about the severely limited powers of government. This guy is the most respected trends predictor in the world. His 2009 trends.

Thomas Sowell explains how prices communicate the crucial information about supply and demand in an economy. What he fails to mention is that interest rates are prices which carry crucial information about the supply and demand of savings to be used for capital development and how the Fed manipulated interest rates to cause the housing bubble.

TAX AND SPEND:

Government officials lied about the health of the first nine giant banks receiving TARP funds. Government officials lied to get what was good for them at our expense? I'm shocked.

HEALTH CARE:

Max Baucus guarantees every single Democrat and at least one Republican (must be Olympia Snowe) will vote for whatever final health care oppression bill comes up in the Senate. Is he blowing smoke in an attempt to head off the storm of Americans about to crash on the Senate, or is the fix in? I don't know, but I do know that if we let up, if we don't flood the Senate with phone calls and emails, that bill is going to pass.

EDUCATION:

Obama's education secretary blows off the Constitution. Don't let that silly thing get in your way.

WAR ON DRUGS:

The War on Drugs was always destined to fail because it's a war on ourselves and against the laws of economics.
"A basic law of economics states that when there is less of something that people want, that item will become more expensive. Because drugs are illegal and their supply restricted, their price rises. As the price of drugs goes up, people who were previously on the fence about dealing drugs find dealing worth the risk. Higher profits always attract new suppliers, whether the market is legal or not. Intensifying the drug war makes it more profitable to be a drug dealer. The drug war creates drug lords and drug cartels.
The ironic thing about prices is that the street prices of drugs are the barometer by which the drug warriors gauge their effectiveness. If the street price goes up, they conclude that there are now fewer drugs on the streets and that they are “winning” the war. They might as well call “the drug war” a dealers’ jobs program.
Criminals making incredible profits buy politicians, bureaucrats, and police. There is simply no way around it. As long as drugs are illegal, there are going to be government officials who are willing to help the drug dealers for a price. The drug war corrupts the government."
The more money we spend fighting drugs, the richer and more powerful we make drug dealers and drug cartels. We can't win. The Nazis couldn't stamp out black markets. The Soviets couldn't stamp out black markets. We're going down the path of transforming America into a police state like those countries, and we still won't be able to stop the black markets. We can't win. Legalizing drugs is the only sane alternative. This article does a wonderful job explaining why the War on Drugs is futile and self-destructive.

WAR:

Ann Coulter wants us to keep fighting the war in Afghanistan, but she doesn't tell us with what money. Funny money? China's money?

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio squares off for showdown at high noon with the Feds by launching an illegal immigrant sweep after his federal authority was revoked. I still think this might be the flash point that sets off a states rights explosion. Republicans control both houses of the legislature and the governor's office. The feds would be smart to avoid this showdown, but I think they're too corrupted by power to do it.

FOREIGN POLICY:

Apparently Charles Krauthammer can't bring himself to grasp that the rest of the world considers America, not just Obama, a joke. They see we're on the verge of economic collapse, and apparently Krauthammer doesn't. Other nations don't align themselves with losers, and the two parties and their aristocrats' cravings for personal and central power have turned us into losers. Figure it out, Charles. We have no bargaining chips except bombs, and we're not going to bomb Russia.

This from the LA Times (no, really, but it is John Bolton):
"His foreign policy brings to mind Jimmy Carter, or perhaps Ethelred the Unready."
That's funny. The US may not have any bargaining chips, but Obama's foreign policy is still terrible. Our economy was such a wreck that Carter didn't have any bargaining chips either, but his foreign policy was terrible too.

MEDIA:

Obama continues to attack Foxnews. This cracks me up. He's making them the more popular than ever. The other news networks must be reflecting on their coverage and wondering if they're being overly supportive of Obama.

The internet magazine with the staff that overwhelmingly voted for Obama agrees with Obama and calls Foxnews biased. This is definitely boosting Foxnews's ratings, but it's also distracting from the substance of the issues which works to Obama's advantage. This is standard Alinski tactics: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." and "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." When will people catch on to this? Foxnews should be publicizing this before every substantive story about Obama until he stops.

Liberals report tens of thousands of gays marched in Washington. That's probably inflated. Liberals report tens of thousands marched in the Washington Tea Party. Problem is, the actual number is 2 million, but you have to go to the UK to get an accurate count. That's why Foxnews covered them differently.

Description of psychopathy and comparison of serial killers and politicians.

Discussing Obama's centralization of power in the White House and his unelected czars, author explains why the US collapse will dwarf the Soviet collapse:
"The Soviets had the U.S. and the Europeans to hold them up while they divested themselves of the most awful concentrations of central planning power, but the U.S. is too big to be held up. We will implode."
Like I have pointed out before, socialized medicine, as damaging as it is in other countries, is propped up by the US health care system. The US develops 95 percent of new drugs, 95 percent of advanced medical equipment, 95 percent of advanced medical procedures, etc. That work done in the US keeps the socialized medicine systems of other countries afloat. But if adopt socialized medicine, all that disappears. We would enter a dark of age of medical care and regress decades if not a century. The same is true about the coming US collapse. We prop up other economically moribund nations. Nobody will be able to prop them or us up when the US collapses. That's why Ahmadinejad says Israel, Great Britain and the US will soon disappear. If we don't stop the aristocrats in Washington from destroying America, he'll be right.

If any lostpolitics board posters are checking in, H4P is having database problems on his server that affect all his database applications. He's working them out and moving to a new server. I'll write updates here.

Supreme Court hearing case on government seizure of property.

Version of the biblical book of Genesis includes sexually explicit pictures to go with the text. How funny. Somebody's going to hell.

Interesting reminder of how Republicans attacked George Soros for wanting to buy the Washington Nationals. Turnabout is fair play, but I don't see anything here about the baseball commissioner discriminating against Soros because of politics the way Goodell did against Rush. But threats from Congress are out of line too.
