Free kibbles

FEDERAL RESERVE:

Congressmen write corrupt Chris Dodd and request that the Senate refuse to reconfirm Ben Bernanke until the Fed comes clean about its balance sheet. That's like writing Mohammad and asking him to come to the mountain assuming that Mohammad was bathing in and dependent on the mountain feeding his corruption in the same way Chris Dodd is bathing in and dependent on the Fed feeding his corruption. I'm not holding my breath.

GLOBAL WARMING:

Because of the scientific scandals and economic circumstances, the people don't want oppressive climate change legislation, so expect a massive alarmist propaganda push to try and get this legislation passed.

MISC:

Evidence that a Chinese general discovered America before Columbus. This isn't new info, and even if it was, why would we care? People found America 13,000 years ago or longer. The name of the individual who found it back then is immaterial. Only the consequences matter. The name of the individual who found it five centuries ago or so isn't important either. Call him Columbus. Call him Zheng. Call him Idontcare. His name doesn't matter. His culture doesn't matter. All that matters is the consequences.

I've never understood the fascination ideologues have with the 14th amendment. It seems to me that members of all ideologies read into it whatever they want to.
