Barack Obama premises entire political career on limiting free speech of opponents

I was thinking about Barack Obama's entire campaign today, and it struck me that his entire campaign is based on denying others their freedom of speech. Not only is he using intimidation and bullying tactics in an attempt to silence his adversaries, his campaign was premised on silencing them from the start. From the very beginning he set out to restrict the ability of his opponents to criticize him. Every time somebody would criticize him, he would declare the criticism old politics and say he represented the new politics of hope.

Pretty rhetoric, but what he was really saying is that his opponents should not be free to criticize him. What kind of society would we have if we weren't free to criticize our politicians or anybody else? Barack Obama is using every tool at his disposal, from pretty rhetoric to vitriolic attacks to threatening FBI investigations to intimidating advertisers to pull support for radio stations to silence his critics. He won his first election by having his 4 primary opponents removed from the ballot on technicalities.

Barack Obama has used every tool he can conceive of to remove the free speech from his opponents. Imagine what Obama will do to free speech if he wins the presidency and strong majorities in both houses of Congress.
