The madam who ran the brothel used by Eliot Spitzer is running against him in New York as a libertarian.

"Yet another candidate for New York City office is in the news for illegal antics. This time it’s Manhattan Madam Kristin Davis, who was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the FBI for selling oxycodone, adderall, and a number of other prescription drugs. The complaint describes a cooperating witness who was arrested in December 2012 and who turned on Davis to become an informant for the Feds."

That's convenient for Spitzer.

NBC's planned show on Hillary Clinton is a miniseries. I won't be surprised if this show and CNN's pseudo-documentary both backfire.

Hours after the news broke that Zucker's teenage son Andrew was listed as a member of the video aggregation start-up, a CNN spokesman said that he resigned from the company.
The spokesperson also made a concerted effort to distance Booker, the current Newark mayor who is running for the open New Jersey Senate seat, from the decision to bring the younger Zucker on board."

A mayor running for senator starting up a tech firm? It sounds like a new scheme for buying a senator.

This may seem like a good question, but the question is based on incorrect premise.

The people don't make those decisions. That's the mistake of democracy. Our rulers don't care who we vote for. The government does the same thing regardless. Like Emma Goldman said, if voting changed anything, they would make it illegal.
