Police State

New Zealanders protest spying while Americans sit quietly like sheep. Spying degrades internet performance.

NSA was lying about firing 90 percent of its system administrators. That's not possible.

Since the government rejects the idea that you own your body, it makes perfect sense for oppressors in California to force-feed people on hunger strikes.

A senator tells mostly the truth about the NSA.
"“The National Security Agency’s capability at any time could be turned around on the American people, and no American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything: telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn’t matter. There would be no place to hide. If a dictator ever took over, the N.S.A. could enable it to impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back.” ~ Senator Frank Church (1975) "
He's wrong in that that's already been accomplished.

Mother Jones reports that communities in South America are developing new networking technology outside the internet to avoid spying. Naturally the spies will commandeer this technology when possible, but this shows how the actors in the market try to advance civilization while government retards it.
