War on Drugs

Government forces parents to kidnap their own children from their maternal grandparents and move them to Cuba because it gave the grandparents custody, all over a drug arrest. Here's a telling line in the story:

"Authorities have previously characterized the Hakkens as "anti-government.""

So they were really punished for being anti-government. Remember when people used to flee Cuba to come here? Now they're going the other way. The same will soon happen with Mexico.
