Afghanistan's mineral wealth is the real reason for the Afghan war. US rulers don't want to pay market price for it, and they're afraid the Chinese, who already control a lot of rare earth minerals, could en up controlling Afghanistan's too.
General Wesley Clark claims that US policy makers had plans to invade seven countries before 9/11, and used 9/11 as a pretext.
