Obama has been playing political games with Republicans over extending the Social Security tax cut, and so far Republicans have responded poorly. But now House Republicans have proposed a bill to extend those tax cuts and coupled it with a law that would OK a new oil pipeline from Canada to the US. Obama is threatening to veto that bill. If Obama vetoes it, he'll lose any gains he's made pushing the tax cut.
REGULATION:
The feds are pressuring all states to ban texting while driving.
"The recommendation from the safety board followed a hearing on a Missouri highway crash on Aug. 5, 2010, which killed two people and injured 38. The chain-reaction crash of four vehicles included two school buses. The board ruled that the initial collision was caused by a pickup driver, Daniel Schatz, 19, who was one of the fatalities, sending 11 text messages in the 11 minutes before the crash. His pickup rammed the back of a tractor-trailer that had slowed for construction on Interstate 44 near Gray Summit."Then that person's life should be over. He should the spend the rest of life paying restitution to the families. That's how you make driving safe, not some bogus law that will only used to persecute people government agents don't like.
HEALTH CARE:
Libertarians are rejecting the government-corporate-establishment diet and health dogma and going primal. The linking of the primal movement with libertarianism is going to scare the crap out of the establishment. The global warming issue is far away from people. Food and health care is personal. And the establishment has far more money invested in our corrupted food production and health care system. They will increase their attacks on us to a ferocity surpassing even the way they attack global warming skeptics. Then we win.
GLOBAL WARMING AND ENERGY:
Here's another abomination that only government can get away with: Russian government will continue running nuclear reactors past safe lifetime. This wouldn't happen in a free society because the liability would be unbelievably high. Insurance companies wouldn't allow it. Stock holders wouldn't allow it. Employees wouldn't allow it. But government never has to say it's sorry. If a government run reactor breaks down, kills millions and poisons land and water for generations to come, it's just business as usual for government. Nobody would even lose their job, let alone be held responsible for billions in liability.
Environmentalist frauds caught on tape conspiring to make up stories about pollution to support a lawsuit. This backfired on them as now they are the targets of a lawsuit. This person is a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
The UN climate cops say they will force Canada to meet Kyoto standards despite the Canadian government saying it will pull out of Kyoto. One world government anybody?
WAR ON DRUGS:
Newt Gingrich not only proposed death penalty for marijuana importers, he introduced legislation to make it law. This wasn't some off the cuff remark.
"As Speaker of the House, Gingrich introducedthe “Drug Importer Death Penalty Act of 1996.”The bill would have required a “sentence of death for certain importations of significant quantities of controlled substances.” It would have applied to anyone convicted more than once of carrying 100 doses — or about two ounces — or marijuana across the border. Defendants would have had a window of 18 months to file their one and only appeal."And people worry about Ron Paul's electability.
POLICE STATE:
When the government says, it's testing 'temporarily blinding' laser, it's guaranteed to cause permanent damage.
Another pedophile TSA agent busted.
POLITICS:
As I said from the beginning, the Occupy movement will harm the leftist cause because it will remind the American people of the moral, intellectual and physical bankruptcy of leftists. That's why violence and disease ran rampant in the Occupy camps. That's why Obama had DHS shut them down en mass. Now unions are blasting them for shutting down ports on the west coast.
Drudge reports Gingrich, 22%, Paul 21% and I guess I'll mention number three instead of pulling a mainstream media and ignoring Ron Paul, Romney 16%. Here's the article.
Somebody else has recognized what I said yesterday: Ron Paul should attack Gingrich (and Romney) on crony capitalism. That's not the free market. I'd like to hear more about Romney's insider deals. What does this guy mean by insider?
If Ron Paul wins in Iowa, expect a coordinated Republican attack machine the likes of which we've never seen before. The Republican power-brokers would rather see Obama win than Paul. I'm sure many conservatives fear that if Paul won the election, the establishment would torpedo him like they did Goldwater. I don't think the establishment has the power to do that any more. Not by a long shot. We live in the internet age. Walter Cronkite doesn't determine who wins and loses.
If Bob Barr really is endorsing Gingrich, his 2008 Libertarian Party run was a far more horrible sham than I originally thought.
This video of Newt Gingrich repeatedly praising FDR as the greatest politician and president of the 20th century shows Newt's true colors. Wow. I keep saying the Republicans are just like the Democrats, but I never expect Republicans to make it this easy to prove it. The anybody but Obama philosophy promoted by many conservatives is dangerously misguided. We need a president who loves freedom, not socialism as much as Obama like Gingrich or Romney.
Here's a video of Mitt Romney admitting that he's a progressive and proud of it. I feel like I live in upside-down world with conservatives supporting socialists like Gingrich and Romney while condemning Obama for being a socialist. If we elect Gingrich or Romney, they will follow the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama path and make our country more socialist because that's who they have always been and still are. The records of Romney and Gingrich are clear: they are socialists. Anybody who votes for Gingrich or Romney is voting to increase socialism in America and will have no standing to complain about the advancement of socialism if they get elected.
